how about jonny tapia?
" Inclusion to the Hall of Fame is virtualy assured if you are onr of the best the division has evr produced. Lots of people would call Khaosi Galaxy the best J-Bantamweight in the divisoins 20 year history. Some would say it's Tapia. Galaxy was inducted last year . Tapia will probably fallow . It doesn't matter that he lost to Ayala and it wont matter if he never gets Ayala back in the ring. As he showed in his recent win over Jorge Eliecer Jolio,Tapia is still a master boxer with enogh skills and smarts to compete with any 118-pounder in the world .His comeback after a 3 year drug related suspension probably helps him,and as long as he doesn't fall back , he should end up in Canastota".
" Let's face it , a lot of people thought Morales lost to MAB when they went to war in Febuary. Some tought he lost by a lot. The truth is he was lucky to get the nod in a very close fight that could have very easily - and correcty- gone the other way. But good fighters get those breaks. Julio Ceser Chavez got those kind of breaks , and so did Sugar Ray leonard and Muhammed Ali. Hell Joe Louis did too, and although it's way too early to compare Morales to any of those legands, the point is that getting beaten by a very good fighter and getting the decision any way doesn't disqualify one from greatness, or the Hall. The sense here is that it will make him better "............ um no i think it hurt him a lot more then it helped
Where was Lewis on that list? Maybe because he was already champ.
They pretty much say he's only a probable because he's not fun to watch , Not really much about him
Wow. It just seems that there is a bunch of guys on there that was finished by 2000. Maybe my memory is just that fucked up.
The "sure shots" are just because they didnt retire officially yet at the time
the biggest shock is MAB
definitely
"Here's why Berrera when he fell twise to Junior Jones . Not because the defeats were sinificant ,but because they took away his confidence.Yes he fought wonderfully aganst Morales. Well enogh to win in the eyes of most observers . But he wasn't the same guy who fought Kennedy McKinney almost to the death. That Barrera loved the combat, and that Barreara was on his way to the hall. The one who fought Marales cringed whenever a punch came close . He dosn't handle losing well. He'll continue to win , maybe some big fights. But his best days are probably behind him ".

Are you sure this list is only 6 years old?
That one's shocking in hindsight.
This is what they say about Tarver ....."Tarver's been telling everyone within screaming range that he's the guy who will whip Roy Jones. Soon he'll get his chance -he's Jones mandatory chalenger accoding to the IBF, and all indications are that Jones is ready to sign. So the question becomes after he's LOST to Jones - we have to assume it will turn out that way, don't we? -do we think Tarver has the gumption and the ability to do great things that will some day lead to Canstota ? That's the question. The answer is, doubtful. He's had less than 20 fights and hasn't really been pushed and yes he's fast, boxes well , and he's a southpaw . But there seems very little special about him. He may turn out to be something very good. We doubt it" .
