OK people we get it. Pinoys were ruled by the spain-nerds. Answer this; what country hasn't been ruled by another? dont we celebrate our day of independence? At one point or another we were all slaves. It goes back to the hebrews, Jesus, even Lucifer thought he was Jesus's slave and he declared his independence. Now please can we go back to boxing?

I admit that my family has heavy spanish blood. Hell my Granfather is pretty much Spanish and spoke spanish most of the time with his brothers and cousins at the family reunions. All my cousins from my father side look Mestizo. I ain't complaining about it and I'm proud of my family name but it aint nothing to brag about having Spanish blood, it's nothing special. Xcaret seems to be all high and mighty about being part European. I'm a Pinoy regardless whats in my blood. We have Filpinos of every color and look with different kinds of blood. We've been visited by the Americans, Spaniards, Japanese. We have the native negritos, the migrant chinese, malay, indian, and seems now Koreans have been moving in and speaking the language. With all this influx and diversity were all just proud to be Pinoy. I don't believed my parents has no Spaniard blood, but from what i know, my grandmother(father side) has ancestry from India. So u can say i have 1/8 Indian with me, no more making fun of Kumar, Habib or 7-11 employees :D

This is a boxing discussion, not a race is better than this race discussion. Lets look at Mexicans, Philippines, Puerto Ricans, Salvadorans, it does not matter whose better than who, because we all got fucked by Spain, not of present, but during the so called "New World discovery". Can anybody tell me of a country that was ruled by Spain but never experience corruption and poverty? So what's your answer, no idea, because there is none. Also, the word bolo, i believed it came from Southern Philippines. Philippines main languange is tagalog, but if you go outside of Manila, there are diffirent dialect. Spain was kicked out the country by the Americans. Pinoys did not yeild easily to the colonials and prided themselves on being who they are and resisted being completely dominated. Even Douglas McArthur once said that Pinoy's were the toughest mofos he's ever met. In other words, we didn't bend over and have Spain completely take away everything. We still have our language. The Japs came too and couldn't make us their bitches. Most Filipinos would rather die. The good thing about it is that we are different from other Asian countries, being more diverse. We have Spanish pinoys, chinese Pinoys, and mix of everything. I am proud to be Pinoy.
