Vargas Says Mosley Didn't Want The Fight...

few things to think about... with both fighters moving to different weight classes after this fight....so this could end in a 1-1 tie between these fighters?....i hope not....IF Vargas wins they should have a rubbermatch before moving on...hopefully anyways... if Vargas doesnt win....does he already have his excuse ready bout making this weight hurting his health/body...... either way....Shane is gonna box him up like a UPS package again..... :boxing:

I had the same thoughts on the fight as RASEAD. Im gonna go with Vargas by UD.

Vargas said he's moving up to Middleweight after this fight.

this kinda talk is obviously catching on. the odds on this fight changed slightly to vargas favor overnight that might be confusing, just wanted to clarify vargas hasnt become the favorite, he just became less of an underdog vargas is about 2.5-1 dog at this point

I really think Vargas is going to knock out Mosely in this fight.

The swelling was not caused by a HEADBUTT. IT WAS SEVERAL PUNCHES. THE SWELLING STARTED AFTER MOSELY HIT HIM WITH THE FIRST RIGHT HAND. There was NOOO headbutt. Whoever thinks there was wasnt watching closely. And Im not being biased, I actually was going for Vargas. The swelling started early before Shane even got a chance to repeatedly throw looping right hands. It was not caused by a punch. That shit was grotesque and abnormal. It was most likely caused by a thumb in the eye while throwing the right hand or a headbutt. No way an eye swells up like that from a punch. That shit was abnormal.

Anyone have this fight? Never seen it, but i've seen a picture of Vargas and his swelling. God Damn! :eek:

I agree this should be on HBO but PPV revenue for there first fight did very, very well that is why I'm assuming it is again on PPV. How can you say Mosely will paint him up again? It was obvious from the first fight that the swelling in Vargas's eye was caused by something else "other than a punch". A headbutt? though I've always said it was a thumb. The fight was close at the time of the stoppage and Vargas was mounting a comeback. Yah, both guys are shells of there former selves but this is good for boxing. You'll see the outcome in the end when Vargas raises his hand in victory. Mosely cant hurt Vargas no matter how many overhand rights Shane lands. :D we need to agree to disagree. I saw right hands from the first round on..then once it started closing he bombarded Vargas with more rights. I think the fight is good action and good for fans of the two fighters.

The reality is that this is a fight between two guys who are not what they used to be. It is a joke of a PPV in my opinion. It should be on regular HBO. Unfortunately there are too many Homers willing to shell out PPV dollars for this, so nothing I can do about it I guess. I will look forward to Vargas losing again..and can't wait for the excuse this time. Quit the hatin please!!! Vargas has more heart than alot of the fighters today... as for Mosely wanting bigger fights out there it aint gonna get bigger than EL FEROZ !!! Can you name another fighter thats a huge PPV draw at 154 other than Delahoya ? :D No challenge? I saw an even fight last time around before it got stopped because of the swelling so you dont have a clue. I like Shane. Vargas is crazy. Hes betting 1 mil that he will knock him out this time. If anyone hasnt seen the HBO special you should. It was probaby the best one yet, along with Mayorga/De La Hoya.

He didn't want it, becuase beating a has-been doesn't help him. He wanted bigger fights. Since the money was there, he took it. As Clubber Lang says, "challenge?, no I reject the challenge becuase Vargas is no challenge, but I will be more than glad to beat up on him some more" Vargas has no class at all. He brings his young son to the post fight press conference to witness his crying like a little bitch...he is good for a laugh however, so I'll give him that. My favorite line from Vargas that I saw in the new HBO "Countdown to Vargas-Mosley 2" he said something to the effect of.."having no father helped me be the "man" I am today." :) for the first time ever, I agreed with him on something. :) GO SUGAR SHANE!!! Mosley definitely won the first time. However, I think Vargas can make this fight more easier if he uses his jab this time.

According to vargas, he has never lost a fight. He fought Winky after eating only one boiled egg a day for two weeks. He fought Trinidad after losing half the blood in his body the day of the fight. He was going to sleep on Nyquil. He was coming down from 312 pounds. His clothes didn't get back from the cleaners in time. Whatever. He lost to Oscar because his nutritionist "tricked" him by "sneaking" (injectable) steroids into his system. He was robbed against Shane because the swelling was caused by headbutts. YAWN. I fucking hate Vargas and his fat Mexican wife. "Top of the food chain"?? His wife ATE the whole damn food chain. :D LMFAO!!!

Vargas will Knock Mosely out in this fight !!! :D Shane has never been KO'd, not even by Vernon who hits harder than Vargas. I will take Vargas by UD.

Vargas is done even if he beats Shane and wins the third time he's done once he fights with a real opponent he will get ktfo :)
