Jones will be respected. Ray Robinson lost 5 of his last 11-doensnt change how people view him.Please don't compare the GOAT to RJJ Roy will always be remembered for his exceptional talent and skill. But his career will always be questioned because he never took a dangerous fight at the end of his career. I am a huge fan of Roy but I felt he let me down by not goin out there and defending his name and pride. Always using money for an excuse. Look at the Ring's top 10 list of fighters for any division Roy was in at any given time and it's likely that he's only fought about 2-3 of them... usually at the lower end of the division. The guy looks superb, but then so does Floyd Mayweather. Back in the day fighters proved themselves in the ring by fighting the best out there. Those two didn't/don't, and so can never be regarded as all time greats IMO. So, Castillo, Corralles, Jesus Chavez, Angel Manfredy, and an inspired Zab Judah are all garbage? Before Zab fucked up the Baldomir fight he was considered a top fighter, and he was ruling the division, then he lost an incredibly close fight to a guy he should have walked over. It happens sometimes. Floyd has a lot of time to put a lot of top fighters on his list. And, if you're gonna bash Floyd, you should throw Hatton's name in there, too, because he hasn't done shit except beat an old KT, and that's nothing compared to what Floyd has done. I agree with your second post, and can see why you would discredit Roy, a lot of people do, but you shouldn't start that with the younger generation until their time is up, I don't think, because you really don't know if they'll continue the way they're going.
