i think its gatti or ali. Just watching either of them makes we wanna go to my gym and box.
Both also very inspiration to the sport. The next generation of boxers is gonna have more heart and punching power because of guys like gatti and ward
Thats easy... Bernard Hopkins... this man had a rough start in life, went down the gutter, and somehow turned his life completly around.
U have to respect his metal game. I like his persona much more than i like him as a fighter.
And how can i forget about my boy Diego "Chico" Corrales.... his ability to fight through pain and willingness to engage in battles is amazing. He has the biggest HEART in the game and one of thee top p4p hardest puncher around.
He makes me proud to say Im from South Sac... This man will NEVER quit... When Chico says he's willing to die in the ring i truely believe it.... u cant say that about other fighters who say the same.
he actualy only came into the ring at 160lbs which is middleweight and most boxers on average gain at least 10-15lbs
He came in at 166, that's Supermiddle weight. Lampley said that he came in with 19 extra pounds on him.
Hilmer Kenty. He invited me and my trainer over to his house when I was an amatuer. We sat and talked for a long time about his boxing and my plans for boxing. At one point he brought out his title belt that he had won and when I saw it i just about sh*t, it was so cool. That belt definately inspired me but so did Hilmer. The thing that was inspirational about him was the fact that he was a nice guy and very much a gentleman. It showed me that you dont have to be a street thug to be a good or tough fighter. You can have class and carry yourself with pride as a gentleman. Hilmer is class all the way through. I havent seen him lately but he is still an inspiration. He was involved in the government in one way or another in the stae and was running for office again. Im not sure how he made out. One cool thing with Hilmer too is that he was an announcer in one of my pro fights that was televised. He said alot of cool things about me and just made me sound good. And in my humble opinion I was back then. Anyway, Hilmer was the most inspirational for me.
Rockin' :boxing:
Do you have the video?
De La HOya makes me proud to be from LA and inspires me to make lots of money, move to an island and have sex with most beautiful women in the world.
You gotta admitt weather you think he is Gay La Hoya or one of the alll-time greats, the man has done it the right way.
And that ass whoppin he gave to Mayorga was some serious shit. I mean the guy had a decent chin, yea no boxing skills but he got sent to moon on that one.
it isnt his career he's probably mad about, gamaches brain is damaged because of the gatti bout or so he claims
So I guess Ward should send Gatti his eye doctor bill b/c after the 3rd fight with Arturo, Ward began to suffer from double/blurry vision, Ward also suffers from similiar headaches like Gamache does, its boxing ur goin to have some health problems after you retire.
And if anybody should be to blame it should be Gamaches team, if they thought there would be such a disadvantage with the weight they would have called the fight off, plain and simple. But they didnt because of the money they and their fighter would make. Now they r still trying to do the same thing by suing Gatti.
and its Like Rockin said, its the risk you take as a fighter to do this to ur body, Gatti does it, Cotto does it, and why do u think B-Hop never moved up in weight, he could have fought at light heavy but didnt, he even admitted that fact after the fight
Then the rules should be revised. He ended the career of a guy because he was fighting at a weight class he did not belong in. He should have been fighting at Supermiddle weight that night, not Welterweight.

he doesnt have any serious brain damage. he just gets "headaches" and hes suing gatti over headaches when he can just get some fucking advil from the rite aid down the street.
For me it was Mike Tyson, I mean I became a huge boxing fan because of Larry Holmes and Ray Leonard, especially Larry since I loved watching him work his jab to set up his right cross to perfection, but Tyson was the one who really made me say "damn I HAVE to find a boxing gym somewhere" which is when I began my career as a boxer.
