Briggs was knocked out by Lennox Lewis in 5 rounds, hes a good fighter buyt he hasnt fought anyone good in awhile, Klitschko by KO/TKO within 5 rounds... I dont even think this fight will happen...

Yo, the sceners can do the meet up. Sure can. I'm up for it. I don't know if this fight is official, I think he is suppose to fight winner of Sultan/Austin or Timur/Brock. That sounds more realistic than a Shannon Briggs fight. Shannon Briggs getting a title shot? Comn.

Who agrees with me? Briggs has a much better chance than Chris Byrd! We all know Byrd could'nt hurt Wlad and Wlad already beat him once. I am still going to say Wlad is going to win, but Shannon certainly has a good chance. Certainly more than Byrd. That was the worst possible matchup for Byrd, which is why he dodged Wlad forever. I haven't seen Briggs fight in awhile, but I remember he used to have a real quick right hand, and he's a power puncher with good size and reach- he's the type of HW who has a chance against anybody for 6 rounds. Expect him to give his all and wildy try for a KO, especially early. Briggs is going to be fighting with a real desperation and appreciation for his position, having been there before and fell off the face of the earth. But if Briggs is like he used to be, then the better athlete will take over in the second half of the fight to win, and that would be Wlad.

wlad would be a big favorite, but briggs would be a live underdog... he has a big punch and fast hands.. wlad would have to be careful the first 3-4 rounds... i think it would be a bad fight for wlad, because there's litte to gain from beating briggs...

it took a foul to KO Mercer too... i thought mercer was winning until that point

I feel he wears briggs down from the outside and takes him out in 6 or 7 rounds,,,but for wlad fans such as myself it is going to be a nerve racking fight as us realists know he doesnt react well to guys that can crack

i dont know anyone who'd bet on briggs in this one. he's fought a handful of no-names and a prehistoric mercer since being shut out by mccline. wlad is clearly the favorite...too bad briggs has a punchers chance for real. i don't know if id even bet on wlad. it took a foul to KO Mercer too...

dont write off shanon briggs. he KO'd his last 15 opponants. minus a UD loss in between i believe shanon can win this. or hurt Bitchko. sure briggs looks like superman when he's facing class c and below opponents but as soon as he steps up to a and b level opponents he turns into clark kent. briggs has never stopped let alone legitamely beaten a top 15 heavyweight

Briggs has a good chance, better chance than Chris Byrd IMO, but a clever choice would be Wlad by UD I cant imagine this going the distance. both guys have suspect chins and good power. wlad is quicker and more accurate with his punches and has better foot speed to avoid punches. I think he stops briggs in 6 or 7 rounds but briggs will be dangerous as long as he lasts
