Reviewed: PBF vs Corrales...

Just watched the fight again for the first time in basically a year almost, and I was so disheartened by the quality of Corrales' game plan. I mean come on, who told him he's going to win rounds without throwing a shot? He reckoned he would lose the first 3 rounds and then come on strong for the rest of the fight. Sorry mate, but you lost every round and got knocked down 5 times. Throwing 5 shots a round simply isnt good enough, and I dont even attribute that win wholeheartedly to Floyds superior skills, half of it was the fact that Corrales closed the gap then got held up in a clinch or didnt do anything and allowed a combination of straight right hands, lightning left hooks and gruelling jabs to the body to just grind him down... What's everyone's thoughts on the fight once more? But what would this thread be without another opportunity to see the fight? So Here It Is

yeah once you get hit a few times and the punches are fast you spend more time trying to cover up then fighting

Anyone got anything else on PBF - Corrales? I think Corralles was just confused by Floyd's speed and agility in the fight. He thought he could catch Floyd with one good shot, and he couldn't, and then the speed factor came in. It's kinda like watching the Gatti fight, Corralles was just afraid to fight.

If he fought every round like round 10 the fight would have gotten stopped alot earlier. Corrales threw more shots and opened himself up, and Floyd capatilized. He dropped him twice. I dont understand your thought process. If he fought every round like he did the round he got dropped twice in, he would have won. :confused: sorry the 9th round

Is that your date? LOL! I knew someone would ask that... nah it wasnt... we was in a pub ("bar" as you guys call it), and she told her friend to take a picture of us 2... I was like "ah nah, fuck off" and they insisted so I turned my head away from the picture because I didnt want a photo of me and her at the time. Nevertheless it was taken but you can still clearly see me so fuck it... :cool:

Corrales lost the fight more than Mayweather won it. He didnt listen to what his trainer said to him and he just did what he was told just once and that was in the 10th round. Bascily Corrales could have KOed Mayweather he he fought all the round same as round 10 If he fought every round like round 10 the fight would have gotten stopped alot earlier. To get back on subject, I think Corrales got caught up watching Mayweather at times and was trying to time something big, but Mayweather was too fast.

He did that because he is a warrior. No matter what odds, he wants to fight the full amount of time and I dont blame him, even though he required a big big big knock-out to turn the tide of a 15 point deficit. He gain his respect that way in Castillo first fight
