boxer vs boxer.
collazo doesnt have cottos power.
they both are coming out of losses with good fighters. looked good againts fighters who where suppose to blow them away. mailignaggi went 12 rounds with a stronger guy, and collazo in many peoples idea beat a top p4p guy.
they both have there name out there now, both coming out of losses that got them respect and both new yorkers with good boxing skill.
what do you guys think of this fight and who wins??
140lbs
Aren't they friends? i might be mistaken but i recall Malignaggi referring to Collazo as 'my boy'.
yeah, paulie was in collazo's camp at the hatton fight too

I love Malignaggi - i predicted he'd beat Cotto. I'm still a huge fan, and i think he did himself well in there, what with the Cut and all.
However, Collazo is too big, i think. PAulie is faster, but Collazo will have more pop, be stronger in clinches, and is a southpaw. I see Collazo taking a close decision.
they are both from brooklyn, and i beleive they have sparred together.
collazo is not gonna move down and paulie will not move up. paulie should be fighting guys at 135 if you ask me.....
If Collazo and Paulie fight at 147 i think Collazo takes this by a late TKO. Collazo is not known for a puncher.. But i belive he does have some pop in his punch. Sort of like a hidden power. If this fight were to happen i see Collazo outpunching Paulie.. And then the ref stepping in and halting the bout.
No way does Collazo beat Paulie lmao
Maybe if your username wasn't "Malignaggi1" and didn't have Paulie plastered all over your signature and avatar, or mention him every chance you get, we'd take your opinion seriously.
Uhm, at this point in their careers Paulie is far too inexperienced. Collazo is by far the bigger man, harder puncher and is the more seasoned professional by being a world champion, and beating a very good boxer in Rivera, and having faced better competition. Not to mention a very slick, tricky south paw.
Collazo by UD 116-112.
Malignaggi1:
Mayweather vs. Malignaggi - Who win's and why?
Hatton vs. Malignaggi - Who win's and why?
Obviously Paulie wins.. Come on, both those guys you mentioned-- not sure who they are-- are bums. Paulie = p4p #1.
But Collazo is the naturally stronger man at 147 and he has fought at 154 so he does have more power to expose then originally thought. We also still haven't seen how Cotto's power carries up to 147.
good point..
pauli has the speed i think. he took lots of good hits from cotto and lasted 12 rounds with him. i dont belive collazo had the power that cotto did so it will be 12 rounds of boxing. i have only seen them fight once each. but i saw that collazo took 3 rounds to start to outbox hatton and paulie came streight at cotto and tryed to trade.
Im a big Paulie fan but I also think Callazo is a very good slick fighter. This is a toss up at this point of there career and you have to give the advantage to Callazo because he's been a champ, has more experince, is bigger, and is a South Paw. Right now he is more seasoned then Paulie.
I think there is no sense of even picking this one because you need to see more of both guys in with top comp before you could decide
