Roy Jones Jr. and tonight's fight

Well, Hops was coming on strong late in the fight with Roy. He also won 2 of the middle rounds with big right hands. Hopkins didn't even have a gameplan that fight. I like to think he'd fight a whole lot differently in a rematch. Roy also had a big advantage in the power category from the look of it. I dunno, I'd probably have picked Roy again, but it's a shame the fight didn't materialize. it would have been boring as hell, like the first fight. if not for roys showboating style, it would have been brutal on the eyes.

Hpkins was never going to beat Roy on any day or time other then the Roy that fought Johnston. If you seen Roy Vs Hop you know that it was not even that close this is just one of them styles make the fight situations

Can you please answer me this. Am I a Hopkins fan?? Are you a huge Jones fan?? It doesnt matter though. You dont have to like Hopkins too be biased, you can dislike Jones and be just as biased. However, the numbers dont lie. Roy offered Bernard his biggest payday and Bernard turned it down claiming Roy was ducking him even when he had already clearly beaten him. LOL!

Who you think I've been hating on more over the last year on this site?? It's not even close, it's Hopkins, but I respect Hopkins more as a fighter then I will ever respect Jones. Of course you think he won 8 rounds, I guess you just checked the 3 judges score cards from boxrec. Noway Jones won more then 7 rounds & I'm being nice, Hopkins def landed the more effective punches in that fight. Fact is Hopkins was green and Jones wasn't at that time. That's what happens when a younger fighter with power takes advantage of your age and physical degeneration. It changes your mentality. When Jones did throw hands though, he was better than Tarver. Yeah. If Jones would have been more active he would of won the thrid fight. Jones, when he wanted to landed the cleaner shots in the last fight.

Wrong, he barely beat him, I don't where you get the considerable margin. Both men would've fought at a catch weight of 168. Jones beat a green Hopkins who nobody knew anything about, Hopkins never had a long amateur career like most fighters did, he was green as hell. He was not the same fighter. Jones didn't want the fight, it should've been 50/50. Hopkins just beat the undefeated Tito & Jones was beating his normal C level fighters and was asking for 60/40 kick my ass. It just amazes me how people forget that Roy went well a couple of years without loosing a round. :confused:
