That's obvious.
If that fight gets signed....Oscar had better just try and get inside and have a high workrate. Because if you notice.....He can get caught flat footed and he goes into a little shell where he shrugs his shoulders and absorbs punches.
Almost like he freezes up. He's a great boxer obviously....but in rythim. Floyd will expose that, and hit him with combinations to no end using lateral movement.
Not a good matchup for the Golden Boy.

The thing is, Oscar isn't at the same disadvantage that most of Floyd's opponents are, Oscar's the taller man and has the same reach Floyd has I think. Oscar doesn't HAVE to be the aggressor vs. Floyd, he could just stand back and punch every time Floyd tries to spring in, he's still fast enough to do that. If Floyd tries that rope a dope shit, Oscar can still hit him and that's bad for Floyd. Oscar is by far the biggest, most talented opponent Floyd will have faced, and with the best chin to boot. I think Floyd will be shocked at just how fast and strong Oscar really is.
the de la hoya that showed up for the tito fight (the first 8 rounds) wis the best boxing oscar. if he shows up it will be good boxing if not, oscar has to turn it into a braw witch neither of them are to experianced at
** Castillo, Chavez, and Zabby sure had no problems finding a part of PurtyGrrl to beat on. Oscar is gonna have to endure taunts of bein' a bully after he KOs this little grrl.
mayweather would have knocked castillo out if his hands were BROKEN in both fights..castillo was way too slow and would have gotten the same treatment as corrales had he not had the hand injury..zab judh has the fastest hands in boxing..and his hands were broken for the chavez fight also
but de la hoya is better then all 3 so thats a different story
the more mayweather moves up in weight the slower he gets..prime example..look at the corrales (135) fight or the gatti (140) fight then look at how slow he was @ 147 vs mitchell and judah
point being..mayweather is not too elsuive for de la hoya..and actually de la hoya and mayweathers speed is about equal
if floyd takes this fight he will prove to everyone that he is more interested in money than his legacy. oscar will win and then retire, and we might never see floyd again.
Oscar isnt going to be as effective against Floyd by using pressure as other fighters mainly because Floyd fights taller fighters better than he fights shorter fighters. However, Oscar will have some opportunity because whenever Floyd fights someone who is taller than him he tends to be much more aggressive mainly because he sees the punches coming much easier. When you look at all, the big shots that Floyd has been hit with most of them came from low wide angles. If Oscar wins it will be because his left hook has saved him. If he doesnt get lucky Floyd will win easy.
Oscar is gonna have to endure taunts of bein' a bully after he KOs this little grrl.
I definitely would say the odds are against that happenening.

Floyd is just way too elusive.
Oscar is a great fighter and I've always praised him, but this is a bad matchup. If people actually thought the Whittaker fight was close, and Oscar didin't deserve that victory:
Wait untill they watch Oscar v.s. Floyd. If that turns into a technical track meet....forget it.
Like I stated, Floyd's quickness will be way too much for Oscar.

Not true. Whoever wins gets props from me, but Floyd will get more props if he wins at 154 cause i think thats too heavy a weight for him.
I wasn't talking about you... they know who they are.
It's funny, because the same people claiming Floyd is going to lose if they fight at 154, is going to be coming up with all the excuses in the world try and discredit Floyd, when he wins.

Floyd is so eager for the payday in this fight, he'll fight Oscar at whatever weight Oscar wants.
Is the payday worth a defeat? Cause if Floyd goes up to 154, he will lose
Floyd is too quick for oscar. He is a better boxer, has better footwork, and can adapt in the ring better then OScar.
Floyd wins a 116-112 UD in this one.
sturm and floyd are to different bad comparison, but anyway, oscar is bigger, stronger, taller and if he uses his jab, i can see that left hook comign and whoops out goes the pretty boy, ahh the look on floyds face when he gets ktfo will be pricless
No, it's a great example. Oscar still won 5 rounds at least off of Sturm, and that was vs a MIDDLEWEIGHT when Oscar was obviously out of shape looking like Mario or Luigi.
In shape, Oscar can certainly do some great damage to a 5'8'' natural jnr. welter.
Your opinion means jack shit in a Mayweather thread, hater. Mayweather > Roy
This fight represents everything we love about boxing. The most popular fighter against the best fighter. The Golden Boy vs. the Pretty Boy. Family Feuds!! And the best thing about it is, it doesn't matter who wins (Mayweather will) because either way, this is terrific stuff for the sport. This is a fight I've been dying to see for all those reasons since I heard Mayweather mention fighting Oscar in 2003. Dreams do come true, fellas.
