How exactly does the odds work. I hate doing odds so i never really paid attention to them. It says Tarvers odds of winning are 5/12 and hopkins are 11/5. So first off who is favored by those odds. And secondly how do they work.
Lets say for instance i bet 1 bil on tarver and he wins, with the odds i just gave you how much would i get back.
I have a few more questions but ill wait.
first off, tarver is favored, whenever the first number is smaller than the second that means hes the favorite. think of the fraction 5/12 as 50/120. which indicates that you have to bet 120 bucks on tarver to win back 50.
so divide you 1 billion by 120. then multiply that by 50.
you should get back about 417 million on top of the 1 billion yu bet if tarver wins.
those tarver odds are much better than the vegas ones by they way. tarver is a full 3 to 1 favorite by vegas standards which means if you bet a billion with them you get 333 million back instead of 417.
look and see if there is an option to change the odds to decimel form, it is much easier to read.
i greatly appriciate the help my friend
