I am a fan of Hatton but Cotto would knock him out. Hatton has only ever faced one real power puncher in the form of Tszyu but he was 35 yrs old ffs. Cotto is being slated on some sites about looking bad etc etc but its really because he is not british(as does Hatton for not being from the other side of the pond) These is clearly bias opinions and there will always be fans blinded by their own fighters so bad they cant make a neutral judgement. I like to try and keep it real as possible and I have to say Cotto at 147 will destroy Hatton. Dont know how well Miguel would fair against PBF but thats because of the 4 year break that Floyd has taken from fighting live opponents. Most fighters can look good against past it or never had it fighters and Floyd is no different. This might sound sill to some but I would love to see PBF V Malignaggi as I reckon PBF is the slicker but Malignaggi has the edge on speed and if Cotto cant Knock him out Floyd wont either. I think PBF would nick it on points against Paulie but not as easily as I bet most would think.(again, PBF needs to set a benchmark for us to judge him from because he will pay a very costly price if he keeps fighting old men or bums etc then meets a live opponent at welter) Cotto, Hatton and Floyd need to get their fingers out and fight each other or they can kiss goodbye to any kind of legacy.

I dont know how this point betting thing works on this site... But i'm willing to bet 50 Mill points on Cotto against Hatton... 147 will exploit Cotto's power even more then 140.. It'd be a great fight, but I have Miguel winning via late round stoppage...

Cotto totally dominated Maussa. Cotto was also rocked twice in his career, and put on the canvas once. One of the two times he was rocked was by a legitmate big puncher in Torres the other by Corley. Cotto went on to TKO and KO both of them. Hatton struggled with Maussa. Hatton was also rocked twice and downed once. Both of the guys that rocked Hatton are not considered big punchers. Collazo is actually considered a light puncher. How does that equate to Hatton having a granite chin :confused: . In both these fights Hatton won by decision. I'm not trying to hate on Hatton but you gotta use the same criteria for both fighters. With that said I think the Hatton vs Cotto fight would be entertaining and competitive.you forgot to mention cotto won on cuts against Maussa were as hatton knocked him the fuck out

That must have been worrying for Hatton fans, but Cotto has got questionable whiskers himself. I actually saw a tape of the Magee fight and think he was hurt by that punch. Look at him throughout the rest of the round. He didn't return back to regular "Hatton" form till the next round. At 147lbs I think Cotto can take Hattons punch better than Hatton can take Cotto's. However its already been noted that Hatton and his handlers are reluctant about Cotto at 147lbs, although they appear a bit enthusiastic with a drained and weakend Cotto at 140lbs.

1st time i saw cotto fight live against mallignaggi and i gotta say i wasnt impressed , and this is the guy thats gonna beat hatton? lol cottos got power , hattons got power , hattons got granite where other ppl have got a chin and cotto has got a fucking milk bottle. no way would hatton let the fight be stopped on cuts. take the maussa fight he cut both eyes really bad very early on so he was careful getting insde and when hes inside letting the shots rain cotto aint no southpaw and he aint no natural welterwieght so cotto will get ktfo Cotto totally dominated Maussa. I think a fight between the two would be extremely entertaining, and would propel the winner up into the top earners in the lower weights. I wouldn't be taking any bets on this fight though, because I think Hatton might come back with a blast. He's got such willpower that anyone who thinks this would be easy for Miguel is just a biased Cotto fan(there are a few around though!). If I had to bet on it I'd take Cotto, but its really one to stay clear of with the money. Unlike Cotto-Malignaggi, which earnt me £30!
