I don't think the pic means anything. Floyd would be taking a risk fighting at 154. I think he should stay welterweight or lower. Next thing you know he's junior middleweight. I think his stature isn't suited for that(he's only 5'8). Also he is not as quick at this weight currently and moving up wouldn't help it.
DLH doesn't go down in weight to fight people, they go to him. Why would DLH go back down to 147, remember he is the man that will make this happen and PBF wants it.
Its not in DLH's nature to go down in weight to fight others. DLH will dictate the way this fight happens, where it happens and when. PBF will have little say, and he will lose.
PBF has a hard time making weight at 147, he will be too slow and not powerful enough to add a DLH victory to his resume. If it was at welterweight I would give him a pretty good shot. 154 is a whole other story for PBF.
No one is saying that Floyd is dictating. No one is that dumb. People are saying that Oscar may want to do it on his own. Maybe he thinks he has a better shot at 147, maybe he wants to fight him there where he knows he will recieve more credit for the win, maybe he wants more then 1 fight and he knows that 147 will be the hot division?
I think Floyd wins either way and Im kind of more concerned about the win if its at 147 because even with the weight advantage I think Oscar is much too slow for Floyd at 154

if u havent notice..mayweather gets slower the more he moves up in weight..i dont think his speed would be all that effective @154
Just because he looks slower compared to Zab who is also the fastest man in boxing, doesnt mean he's that much slower. He still will be much faster then Oscar. Also its hard to tell a guys speed when he's fighting a Southpaw because they dont go all out alot of times. I bet Floyd wouldve looked alot faster facing a guy like Margarito. Also how do you know what Floyd will weigh? He may come in as a Welterweight where he is more comfortable. When you can box well then weight doesnt concern you as much and Oscars not the type of fighter to force his weight on you
yeah but Mosley & Vargas are mostly power guys so the weight effects them more. Floyd is a boxer who is good at everything. Mosley & Vargas have no defense. Its different. If you are a great boxer then you can move up and fight guys who are much bigger because you dont depend on power like those other guys do

You guys might not care but one thing I definatly dont want to see is a catch weight. I think catch weights suck unless you are 2 divisions apart. Like when RJ was at 175, X was at 160, and they were going to meet at 168. Things like that are ok with me but I dont want to see Floyd fight Oscar at like 150 or 151 because I think that just seems fake and not like real boxing
Check out this pic from the Hopkins vs Tarver weigh-in. De La Hoya is def on his way down to 147.
C'mon man , make it official when you post stuff like this !
I dont think the fight will be at 147 anyways !
i dont see mayweather beating de la hoya @ 154..possibly 147..mosley is small for 154..and mayweather has an even smaller frame...if de la hoya can take the punches from a juiced up vargas i dont see mayweather being able to hurt him to much

Guys, but what about what I said the other day about the credibility? If Oscar wins at 154 then its a good win but alot of people will still just say that 154 is way too big for Floyd and that Mayweather is still the better pound for pound fighter.
If Oscar wins at 147, then he just beat the best pound for pound fighter in the world in his own division. That will put him on the list with the All Time Greats. He already has a excellent resume and a win over Floyd at 147 will be something that no one could take away from him, like they would if it was at 154.
Also guys, what makes you think 147 is so bad? Oscar will still be much bigger but this way he also will have the speed to deal with Floyd, unlike at 154 and Oscar will still be Super Strong. If he can make the weight comfortably then I dont see Oscar being in more trouble at 147
I agree with all the points you are making, but honestly, I don’t care what weight this fight happens at. I just want it to happen, because it’s going to be a great fight.

De La Hoya would be a fool to fight at 147. I wouldn't put it past him, but if he's smart he'll stay at 147. Stop giving these false reports that he's 'going to fight at 147'. That's not substantiated at all.
Floyd already is noticeably slower at 147. Making him go to 154 will seal the deal for DLH I believe.
yeah he is looking thinner than he did a couple weeks ago, i wonder why he didn't try to make the fight at 154? that would increase his chances of winning.
i hope it happens at 147 coz i want PBF to get the WBC at 147 to put a stamp on his hall of fame career
I agree that the heavier this is at the more it favors DLH. I bet Floyd would not want it to be above 147, though. But even at 147, I really think DLH has a shot at this.

ummm.... sometimes angles make people look thinner. i don't think this is a credible sign, i think it happens but at 154, that way the wbc cashes in, floyd has a shot at another division, and de la hoya doesn't have to kill himself to make weight.
