I dont know,on this forum i keep hearing Cotto looks great, Malingani (dont know how to spell his name,f**k it) is dead,etc...have you guys seen all that pictures. Go on other boxing sites and froums and look at other photos (especially the ones with him and his son and with promoter and some women). The man looks highly drained. One day is not enough to get all that water back in your system and i think it will hurt his ability to take a punch. Arent any of his fans or PR concerned about him over doing it and coming in so light and the way his face looks. Fuck Malingani will be talking hella sh*t if he beats or even worst, ko's cotto so i hope cotto can be ok by tomo. I know he will be 154+ but i mean also not to have lost power and be weak, but i doubt it.
Well it still goes both ways. You guys are saying that he could basically lose just because he's drained but then you could argue that he's only undefeated because he's been fighting these much smaller guys and he wouldve already lost if he wouldve been at 147?
If he does lose this fight then you cant put it all on the draining or else you would have to take credit away from his wins when he comes in 20 pounds bigger then his opponent
I have never said Cotto would get beat at 147. I would be interested in seeing how he would do there. This isn’t about giving or taking credit away from Cotto, at least not from my point of view. It’s about him finding his natural weight, which in my opinion is at least at 147.
That side of it goes without saying, but what we are saying is that a strategy like that can very well catch up to a fighter and backfire on him. If he goes in to this fight without any energy from draining himself then he could be outclassed by speed. It’s kind of like rolling dice. Yeah the upside can be tremendous, but the downside can be devastating.

Its still not fair for you guys to be looking at this only one way. Sure he is drained but that will be completley offset by the fact he will outweight Paulie by a 100 pounds come fight night and I think most would rather be in Cotto's shoes in that case

yeah i know he can go up easily but i hope this is his last fight here,a lot of his fans are worried that this time you can see the effects in his face and the way he was talking to cameras after weight in (univision), etc. But yeah,if its not his last fight at 140 this will be bad, especially if he fights Castillo at this weight.
Cotto looks very skinny and even like it's taken some muscle away from him. It can't be a good idea for Cotto to stay at this weight. Probably a good idea for him to move up.

Cotto will be ok for tomorrow. One day is enough, how do you suppose he's gain 12 pounds by fight night. It sure ass hell ain't him going to Burger King and ordering a whopper...lol
I'm some what concerned with the long run affect. Hopefully this is his last fight at 140.
