All I hear when it comes to the Legend Killer is how the old Roy Jones Jr. would have mopped the floor with him. The old Roy would have done a number on Tarver. Yeah right. Roy himself admitted that Tarver is the type of guy that would beat him at any point in his career.
Now Tarver hasn't even beat Hopkins yet and all I hear is PRE FIGHT EXCUSES about how the old Hopkins of a few years ago would have beat Tarver easily.
Please cut the shit already because it means absolutely nothing. I look at the record books and see Tarver beat Roy twice. It doesn't say anything about how "the old Roy would have won". It says Tarver wins. Give the man his props or keep your bitch ass mouths shut.
Tarver gets disrespected because he's a loud mouth cry baby. When's the last time he won an important fight on his first try?
He hasn't, because he's cried his way into rematches.
And for the 2nd time in this thread, what's the most disapointing of all is the way Tarver has completely dismissed and DUCKED Glen Johnson.
Glenn Johnson did not have to give Tarver a rematch, but he did. And Tarver turns around without giving Johnson the same fair shake he'd received. That's a disgrace. And everytime he's asked about it in interviews he avoids the question.
It's really fitting that you're so hard up about this Diego, because if there was one personalty in boxing you're most like, it's Antonio Tarver:

very bad. do not score even rounds unless you are indecisive in life, and no such person should ever be allowed to be a judge.
1. You're a fucking idiot if you scored the first Jones Tarver fight for Tarver. That's an outright joke. He fought in brief flurries in a limited number of rounds. Roy CLEARLY won 11 and 12. There is no way you can have that fight scored for Tarver and have any idea of how scoring a fight works.
2. Judges can score even rounds. You've alluded several times that would invalidate someone's opinion (which again is a joke considering you prove over and over you have no idea how scoring works) to have an even round. They are discouraged from doing it for multiple rounds, but an even round is perfectly acceptable in a tight fight.
You need to get over yourself, and remember everytime you look to talk down to somone else about their scoring habbits that you are the very definition of the pot calling the kettle black.
i don't like tarver because of his personality. if he was more humble, and didn't say shit like "i'm one of the greatest fighters of all time" and talk a truck load of shit all the time then i would probably like him.
i scored their first fight 115-113, tarver was way to cautious and allowed the exhausted jones to hop around, pot shot him, and sling the left hand every once in a while. the interesting thing is that he probably could have knocked out roy in the third bout but all of a sudden, without warning, he looked exhausted and started backing away from the hurt jones. honestly, for a second i thought tarver felt sorry for roy and didn't want to knock him out again or somthing.
seriously though man, people are making excuses for this fight because hopkins is 41 years old. even if you've never seen hopkins fight before, the fact that he's 41 would tell you that he isn't the same fighter as he was when he was 31. having said that, i think tarver will get the UD.
I'm just tired of Tarver being unable to win with any of you bogus posters. No matter what he does or who he beats, there's always something wrong with him. Well, he beat the shit out of Roy Jones, and that was terrific for me. Not so much for all of your Roy ass kissers. If he beats Hopkins, none of you will respect him STILL, yet you're all going to watch the fight. It's just ridiculous how some of you think you can get away with it. Well, if Tarver kills another legend on Saturday, just know that you don't have to respect him, but history will.
Read what you've just said here, give your head a shake and get a clue.
You're so full of biased ignorance it's not even funny.

Even rounds are commenplace to true boxing pugalists like myself.
Yeah, I'm in the same boat. I guess your reply makes sense. He won many of the early rounds, 3 of the first 4, yeah I can accept that. Sorry for doubting you. And you're right, we need to watch again or find scorecards before we discuss a fight we scored in 2003.
Its ok, im sure you were just angry because you couldnt get the tase of tarver's salty balls out of your mouth! :D
Hahahah im just kidding man, its all good.
Hold on, i remember scoring one of the rounds a draw, so it may have been 116-113.
Ill watch this fight 2moro and get back to you.

When i say early rounds, to me, that is the first 4. The middle rounds are the next 4 and and later rounds the last 4. I really should watch the fight again before i talk about which rounds i gave to tarver, but i do remember my final scoring.

Wow...that's really all I can muster right now...wow... To think, if some of you were judges, the robberies we'd see on a weekly basis
I own at scoring fights. I am seriously the best ever.
really looking forward to this response by the way :D make it a good one, bud

yeah i had him winning 3 of the first 6 and one of the last 6.

See, to me, and I'm not an English major or anything, but the word many as in many rounds makes me think of more than 1 or 2 rounds. Actually many makes me think of at least 3-4...leaning more towards 4. So if he took many (3-4) of the early rounds, Roy swept all the late rounds? I think you've been caught red handed :D
yeah i had him winning 3 of the first 6 and one of the last 6.
Regardless of how I scored the first fight...I think as a person, Roy felt he was beat. He knows himself that he took more punches in that fight than any other fight in his resume. Judges gave it to Roy because ...well simply he was still ROY. Make sense ? The second fight where he was KO'd only proved that the first fight damaged him and that his decline was well on it's way. The third fight was a no brainer. The Johnson fight just sealed the deal.
