who thinks baldomir has a chance against gatti???

i will root for gatti until the day i die, but yes i do think baldy has a chance. baldy's got a good chin, a busy style, but he cant punch for shit (as evidenced by his 12 KOs in 57 fights). and he did beat zab judah (who was at the time considered one of the best p4p fighters in the world). yes, baldy has a chance, but i dont see him winning this one.

I dont know why people give the gatti's old excuse cause 1 baldomirs older and 2 hes been in more fights. i believe gatti's work rate depends on the out come of this fight but baldomir is tailor made for gatti. Baldomir is slow and stands right infront of you. IMO this could be another gatti-ward but baldomir isnt as relentless baldomir has been through more fights, but they werent half the wars that gatti went through. Just the Ward and Mayweather fights are enough to equal boldomir in terms of damage. lol

gatti probably has a 50 percent chance of breaking his hand and losing cause of that. id give baldmomir 60/40 edge here, and him being the 3-1 dog i will be betting on him come fight night.

i think most ppl here now about my love for gatti, and some may even call me a nuthugger, but no one can say baldy doesnt have a chance. baldy isnt great, but who are u kidding, neither is gatti. believe me, gatti is still my fav fighter and ill be rooting like crazy for him on fight night, but dont rule out baldy.

gatti is there to be hit all night long, daamgaard hit gatti with a lot of punches in their fight and damgaard isnt as good as baldomir. there isnt a championship level guy that gatti "knows" he can beat. at this pointhes picking guys he has the best chance of beating, if baldomir is active and can take a punch gatti isnt gonna be swoll and battered when the 10th rolls around.

i wouldnt count baly out in this fight. he has gotten his titles by beating judahs ass and i dont think he is going to roll over for fucking gatti. he is going to fight like his life depends on it in order to keep those titles.

Uh if Gatti doesn't win, then Gatti's whole career should be re-examined. I mean losing to top tier guys like Gatti has done (and even some mid-tier guys) is one thing, but losing to a guy like Carlos Baldomir. That kind of shit will ruin whatever legacy Gatti has built. I want Gatti to win! I have never seen Baldomir win but from what I hear from all of you, It sounds kinda interesting... I think Gatti will win but if he loses, its ok i just hope he dont retire, which he probably will if he loses :( but I have high hopes :)

I actually give Baldomir the edge in this fight. Gatti is getting old and all those wars he's been in have taken their toll. He will come out and box, obviously, but slow as Baldy is, he'll still catch Gatti enough times to make Gatti think twice about fighting. Someone said that Gatti's hand speed would be the decisive factor but Gatti's hands are not faster than Judah's and Baldy dealt extremely well with his. I also think that Gatti's hand trouble will cost him the fight. He'll hit Baldy with all he's got until he hurts his hands again and then it will be all Baldy. Baldomir MD or SD. BTW, I'm putting my money where my mouth is, too. I'm laying $500 down on Baldy to win.

I personally don't think Baldomir has any chance at winning. Gatti wouldn't take this fight otherwise unless he knew for sure he could beat him. Any talk about how good of a fight this will be will mostly not be true. Baldomir has no pop in his punch. Don't let the Judah dance fool you because Judah just has no chin at all. Gatti is going to walk through Baldomir and blast him outta there. Baldomir got a lucky break vs a Zab who didn't want to fight at all for some reason. I mean shit, regardless if you train or not, you can throw more than 1 punch a round. He just wasn't into the fight mentally and that's the only reason Mr. Baldomir came out the victor. His 15 minutes of fame will end with Gatti.

excuse of zab loss to baldomir is pathtic. it is already couted a loss. Baldomir reached his way to the top so I did consider him winning Zab at first and I think he could still hold an upset. He beat many contenders to reach there so do not overlook him. But that does not mean that Gatti is going to lose too

Truthfully, I do give Carlos a chance. Gatti's not as young as he used to be; and he's moving up in weight. Baldomir very well could outwork Gatti and beat him. I really think it's possible.
