I always thought Gatti could take Hatton at 147 but was still a bit skeptical. I am no Gatti nuthugger and in fact like Hatton quite a bit. But after Hattons last performance I am positive that Gatti can take Hatton at 147. Hatton isn't the same here and Gatti looks fine at this weight. I would say he hits harder than Hatton here as well. I can even see Gatti getting the KO.
Believe it.

Uh....no. Nope, nope, nope.
I dont know about anyone else but I wasn't to overly impressed with Ricky Hattons debut in the US against Collazo. I know he made Kostya quit but this was my first time watching Hatton fight on TV. A fight with Arturo would be a war ? what do you guys think ? Hatton has a solid chin but can he handle Gatti's power at 147 ? Would Gatti open up from Hatton's brawling style ? I'd love to see this fight.
hatton holds guys heads down and throws punches..he should be penelized for it..all he does is try to wreslte and throw body shots as i said in the past

there are simularities between ward and hatton. ward presses forward relentlessly through his fights with gatti. and hatton may even go to the body as much if not more than ward. what are the real differences between the gatti/ward fights and a gatti hatton fight??
Er the fact that Hatton is about 25 times better than Mickey Ward. Lets get some sort of perspective here. Gatti is a decent fighter, maybe 5 year ago (perhaps more) he would have had a shot at making a fight of it with a prime Hatton... not anymore.
I really hope that Hatton and Gatti comes off because it will be exciting for 4-5 rounds before Gatti goes down.
As for you drawing comparison between Hatton and Ward... what? Look at Wards career he is only just better than what you would call a journeyman. He made some super human efforts in the Gatti trilogy granted but please.
Gatti is a drawcard - great to watch but don't get popularity confused with ability.
I would not rule it out because Gatti has more power than Collazo and looked pretty sharp against Daamgard.........It would be a great fight tho I am sure of that no matter who won. :boxing:

What up TX...Man Gatti would get crushed by Hatton....A few body shot and it would be over for him..147 doesnt mean shit when you fight gatti...Pretty Boy fucked gatti up for the rest of his career..

True,Baldomir is no world beater.
Someone is going to have to clue me in on why Baldy is not gonna beat Gatti, He just beat Judah and Rodriguez, and hasn't been beaten in nearly 8 years. I've only seen the Judah and Rodriguez fights, but he looked to me like he has the potential to give Gatti trouble.
right, because gatti would have utilized his superior boxing abiliy.
Definitely not, but at 147 he can hit harder than Hatton. And Gatti's boxing is actually getting better.
I don't think the Bladomir fight is going to determine Gatti's skills at this point... Baldomir is definitely not a challenge for anyone but Judah.

Gatti looks more at home in the welterweight division than Hatton does. But im still not sure if he could beat Ricky.I want to see how he looks in the Baldomir fight first.

LOL, Gatti was never this Elite fighter that has just recently lost his edge and might regain it. Gatti is a decent fighter with great heart but can not compete with the Elites of boxing he just gets totally outclassed whenever he did try to make that leap. Gatti is the Rudy of boxing.
That being said I dont think a fight with Gatti would prove anything for Hatton. It would possibly give him more American exposer but wont answer any questions about Hatton's assimilation into 147lbs. However if Hatton loses or has a very close fight like the Collazo then it could hurt his reputation in many peoples eyes.
I dont think Gatti would come close and might seriously get hurt versus any of the slugging elites. However, Hatton is a better matchup, stylisticly, for Gatti than PBF was.

Gatti has a chance with that power, and Hatton proved he's human after all! But my prediction, Hatton busts him up by the middle rounds after a few rocky moments :boxing: :boxing:
