who was in boston last night for the fight

the undercard was horrible, definately not worth it. a huge majority of the fans were for hatton. u knew it was crazy when u saw guys using passports as id's to buy beers.. it was definately a nice crowd. they tried getting that ricky hatton song going but really couldn't get the whole arena to do it. there was a few of us supporting collazo. toward the later rounds a lot of the regular boston fans started to cheer for collazo and the fight became interesting. a lot of the hatton fans were quiet for the last few rounds, maybe they thought ricky would have his first loss. I was there, it wasnt a huge crowd, but it was electric. I was actully sitting next to a few PR's and they were all about Collazo. A couple of british guys behind me were singing a bit and sang blue moon when ricky came out. There were a few chants of "LUIS". The crowd was definitly for Hatton, but there were a good amount for Collazo. One guy in front of me asked me who won the round after every round, because he said he was too baised to judge and thought Collazo won every round. It was funny though, and just an awesome, awesome time. The fight was extremly exciting to me, and if you did go, you wouldnt have regretted your decision. I had a great time.

I was there for the fight and I didn't really see any collazo fans, it was mostly a pro-Hatton crowd. I don't know if they showed it live on a tv or not, but there was this really good undercard match for the IBF Featherweight title. Eric Aiken won as Valdemir Pereira got DQ'ed for low blows.

i guess it depended on where u were sitting. was there any collazo fans up close by you?

My section didnt seem to stop. At least a couple songs a round.

yeah they were vocal but u didn't here a lot of that towards the end.

I just moved to Boston. I sat ringside, 1st row, middle. I had Collazo up 2 points, but knew it could go either way. Everyone around me was for Hatton of course. They're thoughts were mixed which means something. I didnt think it was a robbery by any stretch. I have to admit though. Even though I wasnt there to cheer for either. On my walk home I couldn't but help but sing the song: "Theres only ONE, Ricky Hatton, ONE Ricky Hatton. Walking along, singing a song, walking in a Hatton-wonderland." They sang this the entire 2 or 3rd round. Even for a weird song, I was impressed. Oh, and Don King was sitting right near us. So they kept thing, "OHH Don King is dead...OHH Don King is dead". King loved it though, all smiles.

the fans were allright, a few of them admitted that collazo should of won. and that hatton did not perform at his best. i liked how hbo did not show any of the puerto rican fans at the arena yesterday. they even told us that we were not allowed to hang our flags. its all good, not bad for a young kid from brooklyn that a lot of people never heard of..he definately didn't fight like a 5-1 underdog..

I almost went, i live in MA. But im glad i didnt go, i was so mad when Hatton got the decision, i felt Collazo clearly won the fight. i would have ended up cok smackin some Hatton fans.
