After watching the 1st 7 rounds with Callazo, who is not as fast or strong as PBF, I can only imagine how bad Floyd would bet Hatton, most likely ending in a KO. Weather or not Ricky wins this fight he is blowing any chances of a mega fight. Hatton is getting schooled.
hatton would beat the lil soft bastard im not saying he will kill him he would punish him. hatton would take a fair share of punchs but hattons chin would stand up
Yes, we aren't saying that his chin wouldn't stand up. Hence why we emphasized on a TKO. (Ref stoppage, cuts, swelling etc.) I don't think anyone here said Floyd would KO Hatton on a 10 count.
Hatton Will Prove U Doubters Wrong
Sometimes I dont think you guys think before you type. Hatton's last 3 fights have all been championship fights, all 3 he has won. The first 2 by stoppage and the 3rd (collazo) on points. Yeah I agree Hatton was poor saturday, but lets take a step back and look at thinks. For one he was fighting out of his backyard for the first time since i think 98, and secondly he was fighting the CHAMP in his 1st match in America since then. 3rd he was poor but still won. Ricky is the sorta guy who won't perform like that twice.I'd like to see him fight judah, I think that would be a good fight, and one i think he would win. Also you only gave Joe Galzaghe the credit he deserved when he took Your 'Big Hope' Lacy to boxing school. I promise you Hatton will make you eat your words. He aint ready for PPF yet but he will be soon.

I take it you don't like floyd

you DAMN RIGHT playa...both eyes would be shut closed.....im talkin third round action...
ok finally we can all put the hatton pbf saga to rest. i see pbf killing hatton, i see someting far worse than what pbf did to gatti, and as for hatton fighting delahoya.... please. he is aggressive but his defence is sorry. how many left hooks can he eat from delahoya before he throws up? a fight with pbf will be stopped, by the ref, by his dad, by his corner, by pbf ..... you name it the fight will be stopped!
... and there's more!
Even thinking about fighting DLH at 154 is insane. Hatton would need to be on crack to sign for that fight. DLH would land that sweet left hook and it's lights out for Hatton.
We may next see DLH-Tito at 154 or 160, if DLH fights again, and PBF-Hatton at 147.
PBF wasted the last 3 years fighting stiffs and didn't build up his PPV profile, so I don't see a good risk-reward option there for DLH. DLH can make as much money or more fighting Tito or Mosley or Vargas. We'll find out soon enough.
I think PBF has one of the best resumes in boxing, and wins very decisively, The only reason for DHL not to take this fight is because he knows he can't win. Floyd is the best right now, DLH or hatton doesn't stand a chance. IMO the only person who may be able to beat Floyd is Margarito.
Good point!

I actually would like Judah's chances with Hatton.
Ricky trying to improve? Well whatever he's doing it's not working. He's looking worser and worser with every passing fight.
i think if hatton wants to stay unbeaten then he needs to go back to 140. i think he can take cotto and castillo and harris etc. but tonight when i saw collazo putting his punches together and being a little slick, it confirmed my belief that mayweather would beat him easily. hatton is a tough motherfucker though, but i see him loosing to floyd, oscar, margarito(size) and hell maybe even judah.
Exactly, that's all this fight has shown me.
I don't think any Hatton fan can honest demand a Floyd matchup after this fight.
u have no idea what ur talking about.
DO u realize what hatton has done here to tonight. He has jumped up 7 pounds. A whole new division of fighting that he COMPLETELY underestimated. He has to re-udjust, get in one more fight againts Gatti, and then fight Mayweather. He WILL learn how to fight at this divion. And once he does, he'll own the welterweight division.
And let me point something out. The point of the mayweather Hatton fight is not to make hatton win. Hatton is trying prove that he can put up a fight with the best of them. If he looks good against Mayweather, he accomplished what he has set out to do from the beggining
I think you meant to say - Hatton looks vulnerable, and this increases his chances of getting a megafight. If PBF doesn't win the DLH lottery, he will jump all over a chance to fight Hatton after what he saw tonight.
Hatton needs to go back to 140. He is out of his depth at 147.
Good point!
I don't think this fight has anything to do with how a Hatton-Floyd fight would go. Hatton was bothered by two things- Collazo's naturally larger size and him being a southpaw.
Floyd is neither of those. And Floyd's never fought a natural welter like Collazo, either.
I like Collazo, but He would last 7 rounds with PBF

I don't think size had anything to do with it...he walked through his punches all night...it was the southpaw style he had trouble with

i would agree that PBF would KO hatton, if that was Hattons first Welterweight fight. Hatton clearly underestimated the power behind the extra 7 pounds. He'll get used to it after one more fight against Gatti maybe, but by the time he will be ready for PBF. He proved he was ready. This was his first fight EVER against a 147. He did a fantastic job. He proved himself. He is always learning and i see great things for his and collazos future. hopefully there is a rematch.
