just watched the quartey-delahoya fight again and damn did quartey get robbed, even with the big round 12 for dh i still had quartey ahead by 3 rds. also i was waiting for foreman to propose to delahoya after the fight as much as he was on his dick the whole fight, very onesided by foreman.
Because he was afraid to fight them again knowing he lost against them. It has nothing to do with their performance after. Oscar when being interviewed after the Quartey fight said he does not want a rematch. He ducked the rematch ...Quack Quack
He beat Vargas tf down. Ike was a draw imo and Pernell edged it out.
ODLH always in controversial fights. That's why you can't leave anything to the judges.
When you're getting into boxing, train to blitz your opponent at every opportunity. No piddy paddy, dipping and dancing, touching here and there. Leave that for the flies at your Uncle Bob's hooligan backyard BBQ.
Ike Quartey is an intelligent man who has been trying - for fifteen years - to complete a hospital project for his people.

Oscar De La Hoya is wasting his wealth in cocaine, bitches and kitchen utensils pushed up his ass. And yes, he lost the fight against Quartey.

Ahhhh…..NO. Try again.
Why do you think he never gave a rematch to:
Pernell Whitaker?
Fernando Vargas?
Ike Quartey?
Because their careers all hit a puzzling downward spiral following their losses to De La Hoya.

I NEVER SAID IT WAS COMPLETELY ONESIDED MORON, BUT ANYONE THAT HAS EYE SIGHT SHOULD OF SEEN WHO WON THE FIGHT, THE 12TH ROUND SHOULDN'T OF BEEN THE DECIDER. HOW MANY TIMES DO YOU HAVE TO SEE THIS WITH OSCAR TO REALIZE HE GETS GIFT DECISIONS. THAT MEANS IN PLAIN ENGLISH THE OTHER FIGHTER GOT ROBBED. END OF DISCUSSION UNLESS YOU HAVE SOMETHING INTELLIGENT TO SAY
Oscar has fought top notch competition for a long time, and as such he is involved in a lot of close fights. Some of these close fights go his way, and some of them don't. The decisions did not go his way against Mosely and Trinidad, they went his way against Quartey and Whitaker. In a lot of fights, really whoever the decision is given to there is going to be controversy. These fights should not be called robberies.

The downward spiral isn't all that puzzling, it's because they're now rich after fighting De La Hoya. Not the same motivation to train.
I seen the fight about 5 times and this thread , made me watch it again. Oscar needed a knockdown to win the fight on my scorecard and low and behold , the knockdown that he needed happened. Oscar showed alot of heart and deserved to win.
The fucked up part is that he didn't need it on two of the judges score cards. They already had him winning before the 12th round.
In your opinion , he needed a ko but It was a close fight. I bet if you poll 100 non biast fans , on who won the fight. It would go 60/40 Oscar.
your out of your mind.
he needed a ko not a kd and it didn't come.

The fight wasn't a robbery, you don't know what a robbery is, and this thread has proven you're an idiot.
That's all that needs to be said really.
It was a close fight that could have gone either way.
If that was what you call a robbery, what was Augustus vs Courtney Burton? A travesty?
A Robbery isn't a fight that could have gone either way. You're narrow minded, don't know how to score a fight, and are suggesting a close fight was so one sided it was a robbery.
Pull your head out of your ass and go watch WWE.

your a fucking idiot don't even bother replying anymore. it's assholes like you that ruin boxing in general, like it's okay for a guy to go in the ring do everything he can possibly do to win just to have the judges fuck them in the end. it was a robbery!!!!

You're ignorant, and it's people like you that detract from the apeal of going to boxing sites.
According to your definition of a robbery, they occur each week, becuse a third of fights that go the distance are subjective enough to be scored either way.
This fight was NOT a robbery, and calling it as such detracts from the term robbery when a fight actually is one.

one mothafuckin rd. shouldn't win a fight. quartey was robbed and that's all that's to it.

Like I said earlier, it's that muthafuckin 12th round. That's why I can't call it a robbery. There's a diffrence between "he should of won" and "he got straight robbed". Quartey should of won. That's all I'm going to say on this. If i continue it might lead to me having to back De la Hoya up. I ain't trying to do that.

you say quartey won but he lost on the decision, that's called he got "robbed"

Than you agreed with the wrong person. I had Quartey winning 115-113. I just wouldn't call it a robbery. A robbery is Augustus-Burton or Casamayor-Freitas. Those are robberies. But Quartey still should of won. Every lost De La Hoya has, he deserved. The Quartey and Strum wins should also be losses. So in reality Oscar should have 6 losses.
