Floyd doesnt want to fight Margarito because, even though money has a lot to do with fights so does legacy. If floyd beats oscar, hatton, and cotto they are much (in oscars case in a league of its own) bigger names then margartio. People can sit here and say well margarito is one of the top at 147 but does the general boxing public think that? Then they can say well they dont matter but the fact in, in building a legacy, you need everyone to recognize you, not just a part of a fanbase. Floyd knows Margarito is a risk, but not as big of one as JLC. Even though Floyd will probably win, why risk fighting someone not many people know or care about? He'd do better for himself in the long run fighting baldy then margarito, and thats why the fight isnt getting made. Because sure floyd loves money, but he does also want to be known throughout boxing history, and at this point in margaritos career, margarito doesnt do much for that.
Margarito would be a stiff challenge because of size.Floyd is clearly the better fighter. It would be a tough fight for PBF but my pick is Mayweather by decision.
I believe Mayweather would be too quick for Margarito. He would TKO Margarito. But for some reason Mayweather does seem to be avoiding Margarito. It isn't like Mayweather would not make alot of money in the fight because supposedly he was offered a bunch of money by Arum and he decided against it.
After seeing the Margarito/Lujan fight again recently on ESPN classic.I am even more convinced that Margarito would present Floyd with very little trouble.Antonio is just too slow and wide with his punches.Floyd would outbox him to a clear UD.
who wins i think margarito wins may weather is scared of those hard hits
how could mayweather be scared of hard hits if he fought corrales and castillo twice and gatti and smashed them all with his fast hands and his outstanding boxing skills, he wont be rated pound 4 pound the best fighter in da world today if he wasnt able too take on hard punchers or fast punchers. Power wont be a problem for floyd.
