De La Hoya/Mayweather wont happen!

Marketing is not the factor. DLH said it will shock people. DLH-Tito is a big money fight that will not shock anyone. The bigges, most shocking fight of all that could be made is DLH going after the champ at 154 lbs, none other than Mr. Roman Karmazin, who is a badass by the way. That would be a cracking fight, and frankly, it would make lots of money as it will be DLH's last fight and EVERY DLH fight makes money regardless of who he is fighting. DLH fucking OWNS equal and is rich off his ass. Taking a fight againt Tito just for the money is not going to 'shock' people.

If you honestly, sincerely, think that was what my post was implying, then you need to go back to school and learn how to read. My post was in response (hence the long ass quote at the top) about how he stated that PBF was still with Top Rank, which is why the fight with oscar wouldn't go down. And then I said (I know it's hard to follow, but try) that it was big news when PBF bought out his contract with Arum (the reason for me asking if he was alive in the past month) in hopes that would help set up a fight with Oscar.

PBF knows that Oscar is calling the shots, hence the whole reason for him buying out his contract, because he knows Oscar won't make a deal with Top Rank. God, conversing with people with the reading comprehension of a 9 year old is annoying. Cause your post made it sound like just because Floyd bought out his contract that the fight was a done deal, which it is not. I hope it gets made but Floyd buying out his contract doesn't guarantee that. No need to throw insults over the internet homie, no one insulted you.

I agree. Trinidad vs. De La Hoya II is the real money fight, with lower risk, and a revenge factor. If Oscar beats Trinidad, then a fight with Winky. Trinidad fans would like to see thier hero one more time beat the great Oscar De La Hoya. De la Hoya has a huge fan base, and so does Trinidad. Therefore the money to be made would be huge. Mayweather does not have a huge fan base, and he will end up demanding a high purse, and will out price himself. Therefore the fight will not happen. Now that Golden Boy Productions has been dealing with Don King Productions, it seems they can come to the table and work out deals better than GBP and Top Rank. i was reading an article in the new york times this morning and it was talking about the possible matchup. de la hoya says under no circumstance will he fight without mayweather in his corner. and mayweather said under no circunstance will he train a fighter to knock out his son. he called it "lose, lose" so everyone can stop wasting breath with pointless predictions. ....Hatton and De La Hoya anyone??
