i have seen alot of fighters move up in weight and the first thing they lose is their speed and balance .
i remember when oscar de la hoya was a light weight , he used to move aron dthe ring like a panther , the same for tito trindad and suger shane . now they are stronger and punch harder , when they can connect .
i see this with mayorga , i like mayorga , i like his action style , but when he moved up in weight he could not move , in the fight it looked like he was posing for punchs .
i think if he dropped down to welter or jr. welter he could get his carrer back . good luck ricardo . :boxing:
Has anyone, among very good fighters, ever succeeded in moving back down in weight after a lengthy stay at a higher weight when they were successful at a lower weight? ROy Jones couldn't do it. Shane Mosley went back to 154 so we don't know with him.
