I know he walked around with a stiff dick every day. I knew that. He would fuck a snake if you hold its head. You don’t even have to hold the motherfucker’s head. Just give him the snake.
I just found this quote in a book about Ali. I decided to post it here to see what you guys think.
shut the hell up! :D
anyway, i knew about that quote. i read the book for god sakes. it's called "facing ali" and it's basically 15 of ali's opponents saying what it was like to fight ali, in addition getting some background info on the fighters themselves.
1. Tunney Hunsaker
2. Henry Cooper
3. George Chuvalo
4. Brian London
5. Karl Mildenburger
6. Jerry Quarry
7. Joe Frazier
8. Jurgen Blin
9. Joe Bugner
10. Ken Norton
11. George Foreman
12. Chuck Wepner
13. Jean Pierre-Coopman
14. Ernie Shavers
15. Larry Holmes
i remember when he said that. but it's true though. nothing i could say about that. anyway, ali still the greatest fighter of all times! :D
Yeah that's the one.
I got that book for free. I went up to the manager at Tower Records and asked if they had any boxing books and he just gave me that one.
Larry Holmes was a bitter guy early on. He is far that now. He has casino's,resturants, hotels, office buildings and a legacy that continues to grow with the passing of time. Holmes wasn't flashy or overly exciting in his prime, but he was damn good.
Nothing but respect from me. As far as the comment regarding Ali and his "Silencing of the Snakes"...truth hurts :)
butterfly1964's ali sense must me broken :(

Larry Holmes is actually one of the funnier & wiser fighters I know of....
I loved it when he had one of his numerous "farewell" fights (back in '96). It was on CBS, & it was Father's Day. After he ko'd his foe, Tim Ryan asked him if he'd like to send Father's Day wishes out to everyone.....& Larry responded with- "I'd like to dedicate this Father's Day victory to all the mother's out there, who have to deal with all of those deadbeat dads."
C'mon.....that's fuckin' gold.
I really feel sorry for Holmes. He resented that he was not recognized as one of the greatest in boxing. Sorry but he did not have "carisma", looks, eloquence,he also adopted Ali style which is not original and on top of everything else, he went and said stupid things about Marciano, one of the best fighters of all times.
Holmes was known for things like this like the time he said Rocky Marciano couldn't hold his jock strap or something like that. You can understand why he said it.He was a great hw champ and was overlooked because he fell right in between the Ali and Tyson era's.I would be bitter if I was as great as Holmes and was always overlooked because of the mouth of Ali and the power of Tyson. He may have had more all around skill than both although I think that Ali is the greatest.I would think he would be Top 10 all time.
Don't be shy you guys. 20 views and 1 reply? I know there is an enraged Ali fan out there some where...
im sure butterfly1964 has the ali sense going and he's running threw all the threads to find where the devious behavior of talkin bad bout ali is coming from :D
Larry Holmes was nothing short of a complete badass.
Top 5 HW all time any way you slice it.
