DLH is the most over-rated fighter ever!!!

De La Hoya is easily one of the best fighters of the last 20 years. Don't judge him on recent fights, see him in his early career at lighter weights and you'll see what all the fuss was about To the guy who wrote this how much crack did your mom smoke before she had you?When ever De La Hoya steps up he loses plain and simple.First he was beat by Whitaker and of course Whitaker was robbed then by Quartey,then by Trinidad,then Mosley,then the Sturm,then Hopkins, and he will lose to Mayorga probably. De La Hoya is the most overrated fighter in the last 50 years.Them man is only popular because he is mexican.If he was white,black,blue or green none of you would give a damn about him.Hopefully he will lose to Mayorga and then i will never have to see this guy in the boxing ring again. When did De La Hoya carry boxing?When did winning a gold medal in the olympics automatically make you are great pro?When did he fight a great hall of fame type fight in their prime and beat them?Wow he beat Vargas so that means something right?Vargas is just as overrated as De La Hoya is and for the exact same reasons. Mayweathers to fast, to quick, he gets you when u dont expect it, and he knows how perform in the clutch. Mayweather would outclass and destroy DLH. The world hasn't seen a fighter like Mayweather. A man that can outclass, and dominate nearly every opponent he faces. Name one fighter that has done this at the level Mayweather has. This is ALL coming from a guy, me, that doesnt even like Mayweather. I like watching him fight... but outside the ring he's an ass. He and hatton got into a small fight. now we beefin'.lol. Everyone thinks DLH is gonna kill Ricardo Mayorga. Mayorga is an acomplished fighter. There is no way Mayorga isnt gonna put up the fight of his life. When Moyarga fights his best... he wins. His major losses were very early in his career... you cant blame him for that. The only advantage DLH has is "in-ring experience." Mayorga has like 34 fights or something and DLH has a little over 40 fights. Mayorga has a better KO% though. I actually want DLH to win though, because i wanna see DLH vs Mayweather, and the only way thats gonna happen is if DLH wins. Why the hate for DLH?

I think maybe the reason some people have a slight dislike for him, regardless of his boxing achievements, is that sometimes he reminds me of an actor, the way he plays up to the cameras and has some sort of self-conscious contemporary arrogance that can annoy people. Hard to say he hasn't earned the right to that sort of arrogance... He's still one of the best boxers in the modern era, and that is undeniable. Belts in 6 weight classes? Fuck!

Oh please. You're living on a delusional fantasy island. If you actually think Ricky could ever be the draw Oscar is...you're wrong. Oscar is, and will always be ten times the star Ricky is. No arguments with that although it is all down to media portrayal. Oscar has ben portrayed since day 1 as a gold medal winner, american dream etc. A lot of his fans support the guy over his fights. He has always been a celebrity other than just a boxer. Ricky Hatton doesn't have the charisma or the background to be held in the same esteem particularly from a US audience. He has been in the ring with the best of them and there is no question he's an excellent fighter. However with the question of being overrated I think oscars status does tend to make him slightly overrated in most peoples eyes.
