The Greatest TRILOGIES off all time?

Terry Norris-Luis Santana trilogy. It should be used as an example on how ridiculas boxing can be at times.

I absolutely love the Barrera vs Morales trilogy. The 2 top fighters in Mexico both happened to be in the same weight class and both happened to be the best in their weight divisions. They had so much hate for one another between getting in arguments,talkin trash,trading insults, and fist fighting at press conderences. Both has great records,Morales was undefeated. And to top it off their styles meshed together to make some of the most exciting fights i ever seen. And i also liek how they fought in 3 different weight classes against each other.I also liek the conroversy w/ them,some sya Barrera won the first,some say Morales won the second,and then i think Barrera clearly won the third though,but the contoversy for the 1st two jus spiced things up. I could go o forever on how much i loved this trilogy and why. But another thing i liekd about it is Barrera won the troilogy. O yea and id hate to see a 4th fight. The last fight was titles ONCE AND FOR ALL, so lets leave it that way. Gatti-Ward was good but i dont think it was as significant(im not even sure what that means i think it jus fits there for some reason lol). They werent both pound for pound fighters and the best in the country when they fought. Sure the fights were exciting but it didnt mean as much as Barrera Morales,2 pound for pound champions and national icons in their home countries. Understand what im saying?

Pac vs Morales woulda been stylewise, but Pac is too good fo Morales to handle. Pac make it look too eazy.

Ali-Frazier, Gatti-Ward, and Barrera Morales are three great trilogies.Castillo-Corrales will become a great trilogy no doubt.Why does anyone care about the controversies in the fights.I don't give a damn about the mouthpice issue or the weight issue all I care about is how great the fights are.

Off the Cuff: 1. Ali-Frazier 2. Zale-Graziano 3. Robinson-Lamotta (even though it ended up being 6 fights) 4. Bowe-Holyfield 5. Nelson-Gans 6. Fulmer-Robinson (the first 3 were great fights) 7. Ketchell-Papke 8. Duran-De Jesus 9. Gatti-Ward 10. Griffith-ParetI like your list; but I like Duran- De Jesus more than Bowe-Holyfield. And I would have liked to mention (not as part of the top ten) Carbajal-Gonzalez, but the two other fights were not really as dramatic as the first. Then, there was the Ruben Olivarez-Chucho Castillo series...drama-filled, each time! That two of the three lasted the distance and one ended on TKO on cuts were not indications of the lack of violence but testaments to the stubborness and resiliency of both. Olivares was KD'd in the second (or, third?)round of the first meeting but went on to nearly take Castillo out, failed, and got a UD instead. In the second encounter, Olivares suffered a cut from a headbutt in the very first round and by the mid-rounds was barely able to see. Castillo became Bantam (both WBA and WBC, as there was no IBF then) king in the 14th round after the ref stopped the contest due to the cut. In the third and final installment of the series, Olivares saw himself on the canvass again in the 6th but came back to pummel Castillo for a clear decision. The three fights happened between April '70 and April '71. The Olivares-Castillo rivalry was, perhaps, the most intense among Mexican rivalries until Barrera and Morales came along. (There are even those who contend that Barrera-Morales pale in comparison, but I won't argue for or against that.)

"I'm in no way anticipating the 3rd fight as some might be though I'll watch it to see what happens if they both go legit all the way through." Why aren't people excited for this fight? I mean i am pumped. The second fight was very conroversial but the first fight wasnt even close. Castillo was a freakin rag doll. He was limp, He would have gone down the first time in his career. I dont count the second fight because of the weight issues, so this third fight is the real sequel to the greatest fight ever. I dont see why people arent pumped for this fight!?!?!?!?!?!

I won't bullshit and say fights that I've yet seen or could possibly seen just because I wasn't born in the time, though I really enjoyed Gatti-Ward and Morales-Barrera a whole lot. I don't think the Corrales-Castillo trilogy will ever be as good as it could have been since the issues following the 2 fights so far. I mean the first fight was great, amazing, though ended controversially, and the 2nd fight was controversial before it even began. I'm in no way anticipating the 3rd fight as some might be though I'll watch it to see what happens if they both go legit all the way through. Morales-Manny could also rank up there with the best if it does follow through for the 3rd fight.

Another great will soon be Carrales and Castillo. But i like the holyfield Trilogy and i LOVED the barrera ones too. I love all triliogys.
