Lets face it, it's easy for Vitali to call out boxers who are retired and will never box again, far easier than mixing it up with the current crop of heavyweights, some of who might beat him with his current injury problems. he's calling out lennox cos he's an attention whore who failed in his bid to become a politician just as he failed in his bid to beat lennox and become undisputed. attention whore??? show me one article where VK is quoted to challenging lewis for them to both come out of retirement? VK has made no public challenge to lewis, since he retired.... this is nothing but rumors and gossip started by merhcant on last weekend fight....

Then we'll never see Vitali again. which is probably the best thing for the division.

Lewis has beaten every fighter he's ever faced (some by way of rematch). That distinction means more to him than anything including money. Vitali poses a real threat to that and that's why Lewis will never return or rematch. Lewis isn't stupid. He knows he almost lost it when he fought Vitali.

He should thank the ref, Lou Moret, for stopping it when he did otherwise he would be blind in one eye right now. Lennox had found his range and would have tore his face to pieces. Wlad looked great this past weekend, Manny is doing a great job with him, but lets not get too excited until we see him fight someone who can punch and who doesn't just stand in front of him at perfect range cos past performances leave a question mark.

If Vitali is so confident he can beat Lennox, surely he also believes he could beat most of the heavyweights out there, so why doesn't he??? Because he's smart, really. He's a marketing bonanza in Europe, whether he fights again or not. He looks good by calling-out Lennox who represents the only truly monstrous payday available. I read last year or maybe the year before that, Lenox Lewis was offered an obscene amount of money to come back and fight Vitali. And as you guys all know, he didn't come back them, and will likely not come back know. After watching last saturday's destruction of Chris Byrd by the fists of Wlad Klitscho, I think that the future of the division lies in his hands. I could be wrong, though! :confused:

Vitali is a right plonker for retiring. C'mon he cant have had more injuries than Calzaghe. And i wish he would stop talking about fighting Lewis. Lewis will not come out of retirement. Vitali should never have retired. Did he not have much ambiton as far as leaving a legacy. I always thought he was a decent heavyweight. Doensnt really look good, but does the job.
