To answer this question it's just about impossible for me to come up with a single band that I'd consider my favorite but I'll go with The Ramones for cultural influence, The Stooges for their sound, and The Dead Boys for just kicking so much ass on Young, Loud, and Snotty. Speaking of DB's, no other band in history had such a great lineup of stage names: Stiv Bators, Cheetah Chrome, Johnny Blitz, Jimmy Zero, and Jeff Magnum. You just can't top that.

Alabamma Thunderpussy..lol just kiddin (they are good though) Id say in recent times the best hard rock band was Alice in Chains in the past...well... hard tp picl Zepllin, Sabath, etc.... oh btw you have metal bands in yer poll as well.
