I don't get it...
Floyd gives Top Rank a lot of money to sever ties...
Top Rank makes Floyd an offer for his next fight...
Floyd refuses...
And everyone starts bashing the p4p best in boxing...?
Where is the logic, think about it, you don't like your promoter, you pay money to get rid of your promoter, why in the hell would you then sign your next contract with the same promoter? No one in their right mind would.
I don't know who Floyd will fight next, but I'll bet anyone it's not gonna be a Top Rank Promoted fight... Any takers?
I think its funny how people defend Floyd like they are Floyds managers with he will make more money this and that. Why risk it if he can make more money blah blah blah. Like they are taking home some of the money Floyd is going to be taking.
And here I thought we were fight fans.
That's too harsh. Diego Corrales was supposed to be Floyd's big test, some picked him to win, and Floyd destoryed him.

would anyone argue at this point that he's the greatest active fighter, and one of the best all-time at this point? or is that still up in the air somehow?
It shouldn't be Pap but it is. Mayweather probably is the number 1 P4P but because of the dominanting way he fights he is in danger of becoming boring through lack of competition. However, if he beats De La Hoya ( providing Oscar beats Mayorga ) he'll be cosmic!
I don't hate the guy, I think he is the most talented fighter right now, but I think it's a shame that he aint fighting the best. I know that he will fight whatever will bring the most money. But if he wants to be remembered as the greatest or one of the best all-time, he needs to fight the best.

Point is, would you fight for a promoter the very next fight after paying something like $750k to get rid of the guy in the first place????
Why bother to pay the promotion company off at all then????
IMO, Floyd is duckin' making Arum money rather than duckin' any fighters at this point, and I don't see any reason anyone in their right mind would take any Arum Promoted fight after piecing him off to basically take a hike...
Do You???
I am with you if Floyd or Margarito loss then Top Rank will lose marketable on any of those guys?
but if Floyd lost he they will loss much more than Margarito because remeber that Floyd is still unbeatable and Margarito is beatin
