You know, that opening bit in the Byrd-Klitscko broadcast about how, if Wlad won, 3/4ths of the heavy champs were going to be non-US guys (plus some artciles in recent days to the same effect) is all kind os shitty.
Really? Does anyone who is a true boxing fan give a damn about where a champ is from??? Who gives a damn if the guy speaks English or hails from the US?
It is the fighter that should count, not the country.
I just dont like how they try to build up press and hype with that kind of xenophobic, rah-rah-rah-USA! USA! USA! bull. It seems unfair to the what really matters- pure athletics.
LOL what is maskaev beats Rahman?
Than we are back in trouble because Maskaev is a scrub. So is valuev.
Only legit Russian heavyweights right now are Liakhovich and Wlad (and yes I know they are Belarussian and Ukranian, but its same thing to me).
LOL what is maskaev beats Rahman?
then all HW champions will be white, wont be american, will be from former soviet republics, and will all be newly crowned champions.
of the 4 champions, one is american (who is also black), and 3 are european (who are also white). there will doubtless be some rascist, prejudice, patriotic, and hateful bullshit in the future because of this situation.

Good point, but i think the USA thing is brought up because they have had alot of fighters who have dominated the division for so long
