Judah vs. Cotto

At 147, I think Judah takes this fight. Judah is a desperate, desperate man, and no one knows what he'll come up with. He's got the hand speed and skill to give Cotto fits, and his straight left hand from the southpaw stance may prove to be too powerful for Miguel Cotto. Cotto has yet to look impressive to me since he beat Lovemore N'Dou back in 2004. In my honest opinion, I think that Cotto has really regressed, and a July PPV date with Paulie Malignaggi will not help his cause. Judah UD12.

Many on this site said. "Zab will not survive when he fights Floyd, His chin won't hold up" Ok we seen Judah take some good shots. He got hit by Tszyu (Who by far has a good ass right) Rocked by Baldimor (Don't know what to say there). Cotto got rocked by Torres (Who hits hard) Not out of shape cause he had a fight a month before this fight happend. Hit by Corley (On the temple) Anyone would get rocked by that. Ask Mayweather.. Cotto got hit because he made mistakes. I know he will not make those mistakes again. Cotto takes shots pretty good. Look in the Torres fight. Look how many shots he took and survived. He gets hit alot but he backs it up. Cotto needs to work on his defense no doubt about it. But mentioning his chin when Judah is the same is stupid. Cotto looks good for fights. Zab looks good for 4-6 rounds. Can he survive?

Cotto by TKO, he will work Judah's body and eventually hit his head.

Zab looked good for 4 rounds then threw it all away. Cotto catches Zab in the corner it's a wrap for him. Zab will look good for 4-5 rounds then give it up.. Hopefully he doesn't get hit with that left hook. I mean Cotto hits hard. He doesn't need to use his body to move with the punch. You seen the Pinto fight? When Cotto just threw a left hook with out moving and Pinto was on queer street lol. Imagine if Cotto puts his body to it? Cotto wins by TKO 9th round

Intriguing matchup, but i have to go with Cotto. Judah wilted against a fairly light-hitting Mayweather. He slowed down/backed-off when Floyd really started to let his hands go, especially when Mayweather nailed Judah with some body blows. Will Zab be able to stand up to Cotto's devastating body attack, which i believe is the key to this matchup? In my opinion, no. Cotto by late stoppage after some initial problems.

Zab judah has no contol of his actions as soon as cotto starts hitting him he will lose confidence and lose control..

I actually think that Cotto will be faster at 147 than he currently is. I think his performances of late have diminshed due to sucking so much weight. I also believe that Zab is the exact type of fighter that can give Cotto problems. A person who can box but has enough pop in his punches so that Cotto has to respect him and can't just cut off the ring without fear. I think depending on how Cotto does versus Paul Magligini(sp) would be a could indicator of how Cotto handles a slickster, although I dont think Paulie has enough power to make Cotto really respect him. It different cutting off the ring on a guy who can't hurt you than doing it on a guy who can. As it is right now I would say that if Zab cant hurt or put Cotto down within the first 4 rounds then Cotto wins by either KO, or UD if Zab puts on his skates. indeed I think it's a pickem and I am almost sure its gonna be a KO, and a good fight

Very good point. Cotto is a way better boxer and harder puncher than Baldomir. I take Cotto in the 9th round. Ill go with that. The reason Judah did so well against Mayweather is cos Mayweather does'nt hit that hard at this higher weight. Cotto does, and wins by KO if he keeps his chin down :boxing: :boxing:

Cotto at 147 can be more effective, and will be able to handle more punch. This fight at 147 would end in a KO, IMO Cotto has the edge in that he performs well against southpaws, and can cut off the ring better than anyone else. Past 6 rounds, Cotto will KO Judah.

I see your point, but Floyd is also one of the quickest fighters ever and knows countless tricks and skills to land clean on his opponents. Cotto is definitely big, but he is also pretty slow and facing a huge puncher like Zab who has very fast feet and extremely fast hands it spells disaster. Torres wasn't nearly as polished as Zab and he gave Cotto a run for his money. If this fight ever comes off, we will be the first to bet. Deal? :D then again baldomir isnt the fastest guy either. i find it hard to believe that baldomir can hurt judah and cotto cant. cotto ko 7.

Yeah that would be an interesting fight,and a tough one to pick. Both have suspect chins.Both can bang.I guess I would favor Cotto.He is a solid boxer,and he knows how to survive when he is in trouble. I agree. Cotto handles himself better when in trouble, while Zab just falls apart, so I'd have to stick with Miguel --- I would really enjoy seeing this fight as well, but I doubt it will ever happen-----

Cotto hasn't got the speed to deal with Zab, but then again Cotto hits hard and we all know about Zab's chin...it could go either way depending on who exerts his style. It could be an interesting match-up.

It would be a good exciting fight, becuase you know that there both going to bring it to each other, I would think that Zab has the edge since he is at 147 already and has speed and power. But you never know One thing I can point out is the I have seen Cotto hurt and come back and win, Zab gets hurt and just doesnt recover like Cotto does.

im still not sold on cotto... i really dont see whats so damn special about guy. he isnt is zabs league. I think Cotto is overhyped as well, but am not sure exactly what "league" Zab is in.
