MMA and UFC have become very popular, very large, in a relatively short period of time. As a person sorta "in the business" I am concerned that boxing may become a dinasour. Yes there is still excitement, yes in many of the weight classes there is serious talent and yes, everyone likes to see 2 people letting it all go, warriors to the final bell, leaving it all in the ring. What rules could be changed or could the commissions for each state band together...what do you think? :boxing: :boxing: :boxing:
I think you meant, what does MMA have to do to compete with boxing?
MMA is definately not bigger than boxing. Boxing is a more technical sport and it is recognized for that.
Hey Machotime...who's the girl on your post?

I do wonder how many pay per view hits did the last UFC 58 or 59 do and how many hits did the Mayweather/Judah fight get. That would be interesting. I am very picky when it comes to ordering PPV for boxing...if I dont believe it is going to be competitive I dont pay 50 bucks to see it. I do know that those who order UFC PPV are very aware they will see someone get put to sleep...thats not always the case with boxing...you never know what could happen...like an ear getting bit off or numerous low blows for DQ(I have never ordered UFC PPV)

I should have included What changes if any......
15 rounds would be a big help ... i can't stand that i wait for months for a great fight then it is half over in a blink of an eye
I watch UFC a lot because Jacob "Stitch" Duran is the official UFC cutman and I have learned a ton from him both on UFC and in person, and there are some serious fights. I'm not saying that UFC is bigger than boxing, but we have to admit that it is growing at an alarming pace.
