If they rule this thing a disqualification, they are really going to screw boxing over. Boxing is breaking into the mainstream more each day, but this will not help it. ESPN is covering every megafight these days whereas it used to be all De La Hoya, Hopkins, and big name heavyweight coverage. A disqualification against Mayweather will not only put a blemish on the record of the best fighter in the world and maybe of all time, but it will hurt boxing's chances of gaining more exposure. The black eye headlines will roll out (probably should anyway after the shit Judah pulled), but Mayweather is one of those guys who can erase boxing's black eyes like he erased Judah on Saturday. Let's hope the right thing goes down tomorrow.
heres what i think should happen....(probably won't though)
-rule the fight a No Contest and order a rematch right away
-NO fine or suspension for Zab Judah as he was just trying to defend himself during the brawl. As for the low blow and rabbit punch, the norm punishment for that is points off the scorecard and i believe that happened.
-NO suspension for Roger Mayweather but YES fine him. I say no suspension because i think that Floyd losing his trainer for a fight would hurt him most and Floyd should not be punished for what his trainer does. But like i said, def. a fine.
-NO suspension or fine for Yoel Judah as he was simply protecting his fighter when Mayweather went running after him....and thats what a trainer should do!
...and of course no punishment at all for Floyd....
defending himself? he ran up to someone and threw a punch at one of maywheathers cornermen in the back of the head.
According to the rules of boxing, only the 2 fighters and the ref can be in the ring when a fight is taking place. However, I thought Nevada was the only state that will not automatically DQ a fighter when a person beside the 2 fighters and the ref steps in the ring. In an interview, Bob Arum said that in the rules for the state of Nevada, the ref "may" DQ a fighter, not automatic DQ.
exactly,it's always been that way in the state of Nevada

All I'm saying is ,isn't it the referee's call to dq anyone? if they reverse this, they might as well reverse a million other iffy calls made by the refs in the past,Especially richard steele

Judah a dumb ass for the low blow. Roger Mayweather a dumb ass for entering the ring.
Both should get fined but Mayweathers corner getting fined more..
What ever happens i don't care. Both sides did stupid moves.
I have a problem with the rule. I'm not saying anything about just being a Floyd fan. Either way Roger thought out of his ass that night.
What I'd like to see:
Roger receive a suspension
Zab Judah and Yoel be fined
have the UD stand
We know that Floyd is the better fighter, still Roger is the one that fuk it up...And that's the TRUTH.
Ref CLEARLY called time after the low blow.So...I hope they dont reverse it.Even if they do........please no rematch bitches.
I just don't think its right to give someone a dq, for something was in no part their fault. Either make it a no contest or keep the original decision(which I agreed with anyway). If it wasn't for freakin Don King.
you're a Mayweather fan so of course you feel that way. I'm a Mayweather fan too, but I can admit when somebody breaks the rules. If you didn't think "Oh shit, Mayweather is DQ'ed" when Roger entered the ring, then you don't know the rules of boxing. I thought for sure Floyd was DQ'ed at that point and no matter how much I like Floyd and hate Zab, I can't say it should be a no contest or a Mayweather win UNLESS there is a rule I don't know about. I just know it's always been this way. If a trainer enters the ring before the bell, his man is DQ'ed.

okay so technically roger did nothing wrong. He came in the ring when a TIME OUT WAS CALLED BY THE REF because of the low blow and rabbit punch. He was talkin smack-not against any rules- and judah chased him throwin punches. Not grounds for DQ of FLOYD WHO DIDNT DO ANYTHING so fuck judah and his bullshit. "Ahh im a pussy bitch because i chased roger punching but he choked me. mommy save my career i wish i was good"
Roger Mayweather,Zab and Yoel Judah should be disciplined. Roger should get a little lengthy suspension since he entered the ring, but Judah a fine since he acted like a dumass and did it. Yoel also went across the ring(after Roger) to fight in the brawl. Floyd's record IMO should be left untouched. Its not Mayweather's fault the fight went on. I hope boxing doesn't screw Floyd.
what about a "no contest"?
