He's nowhere near being the worst champ, in fact he's the modern day version of Jimmy Young, Wlad did beat him bad, but no ones else really has except Ike which was a knockout. i think Byrd has shown great courage and heart over the years to be willing to face much bigger guys and be willing to to take the big shots. the truth is Byrd just doesn't appeal to most fans, who want to see Ward vs Gatti's all the time. I second that. I wouldn't watch Ruiz fight in my driveway, but this just in: I would call the cops if Byrd was fighting in my backyard. I believe the Classic was "i would close the curtains if Byrd was fighting in my backyard."
