Will Shannon Briggs be champion by year's end?

All anyone needs to see is that Lennox Lewis video that was posted on here a few days back. In that video Lewis put's an enormous beatdown to Briggs. As soon as Briggs fight's someone with a bit of skill he will go down like he did against Lewis and McCline.

What do you know about Shannon's management?? Who is they?? He has one manager jack ass and his name is Scott Hirsch. :rolleyes: Why do you think Hirch is a jackass? If anyone's a jackass here it's you for that statement. Now Stacy isn't the most repretible promoter, but Hirsch is a rich man who loves boxing and is taking care of his fighters. How many managers you know of set up pension plans for their fighters? He is serious about putting his fighters first. I will say this about Goodson, his cards are getting better, and in time he might produce a very quality product. His fighters are shit though.

If you all havent noticed, midwestern promoter and former HW bum Stacy Goodson has fed Briggs his last 2 fights. Scott Hirsch bought JD Chapman's contract out and Goodson said if you cant beat 'em join 'em and sold his trailer and bought into Scott's campaign, so now you got shit bag Stacy Goodson and a rich boxing fan that sells condo's (Scott Hirsch) running both of their career's. So when you say Shannon Briggs people that's who you are talking about.

Shannon's people feel they have put him into position for the next title shot later this year. It seems they don't want to go for any DOn King fighter. I can't believe people pick Briggs over Rahman or the Klitschko/Byrd winner, and not over Brewster. Brewster is not as good as the other titlists and if you think so, you don't know what the hell you're talking about. I think people might not be giving Briggs a chance over Brewster even though the other champs are better boxers is that Brewster two main skills are taylor made to defeat Briggs. Brewster as we all know can take an insane amount of punishment and keep going, Briggs can deliver shots indeed, and Brewster will walk his opponents down and when they get tired from him taking their punches and Brewster punching back, they eventually fall. Briggs can be susceptible to fatigue and that would fall into Brewster's gameplan. It's not that he is a better boxer, but his skills or lack-there-of are best suited to beat Briggs. Just my point of view though.

I think Briggs-Brewster would be a good brawl, and I think I'd give Briggs the advantage if it went to the scorecards.

He might have a chance against the winner of Byrd-Klitschko.Both are light years ahead of him in skill but he does have power.Enough power to ko Wlad especially.My pick against either would be for him to get outboxed by Byrd and lose a decision and get outboxed by Wlad and lose a decision or get stopped unless he lands a big punch on either to change the fight.

Briggs could win the WBC title from either Rahman or Maskaev. But that's about his only chance...

briggs is a bum, he weighed in at 269 pounds in his latest fight ehich is 16 pounds more than he weighed in 5 months ago. who the hell is a 260 pound shannon briggs going to beat?? obviously hes not as serious as you guys think if hes not even willing to get in decent shape.

Briggs has looked good recently, but against the people he's been fighting it's easy to look good against.

briggs is working hard, he has a good chance against a few of the topp heavyweights...
