Hot damn.
3 never has beens he was KO'd by. How the hizell is he is the picture?
Freakin sanctioning bodies.
i've been trying to figure that out too, i looked over his record, since being KO'd by Sanders, Kirk johnson, and Lance whitaker a few years back the only person he's beaten was Samil Sam. I think it's just the hype because he beat Rahman a long time ago. Rahman will Ko him.
I know who Maskaev is I just meant it was who the hell is he to get a title shot?

in terms of skill n potential
wlad undenyable great quick strong hands
toney great defense and aww inspirin couters
byrd uses the ring n defense and lands his own punches
rock gets some KOs from time to time
brewster gets them KOs id put him above rock but rock stopped lennox
interms of makin what they got work
brewster simple hard hittin hard chinned goin forward winnig streak and i think itll continue even against these other heavies
byrd his fights may be lame but he wins well those he doesnt get a draw in, lets say he doesnt lose them
toney he wins but i think we saw the begginin of his decline
rock also wins but he losses or draws alot more
wlad meaningless wins and significant losses
I wouldn't expect anything else from you K-Dogg. I think Brwester will prevail, but his type of fighter doens't stay on top that long. So within a year or so, I see Brewster eventually losing his title. In the meantime though he will have given us fans the best fights from a heavyweight titlist in years.
:D Welcome aboard, bro!! Completely agree with you; Brewster may not reign forever, but I bet we'll remember his swan song and every fight in between. :)
Have some points, hoss!! Good to see ya.
boxing912, butterfly1964, Double, Floydmayweather, Gunstar1, jason100x, Lights0ut, LostGuy, realheavyhands, Zab Super Judah
All for Toney: :haha:
The whale got outboxed by "no good for shit" Rahman! Somone who has only 1 vote!
Now that's classical nut-hugging! :D
I think Brewster is probably the best right now based on his heart and exciting style........Wlad has great offense and seems to be improving since Steward took over and until beaten Byrd is THE champ in my eyes seeing how he has been reigning the longest and does not shy away from fighting giants.I hope peter can get some better skillz and make a run at the title soon.I think if Wlad beats Byrd and fights lamon after then the winner of that fight should be considered THE man for now. :boxing:
Fully Agree
Another biased and stupid post from you. If they both win, Brewster and Wlad, Brewster is STILL better because he KNOCKED WLAD OUT.
Get it? It's a simple equation.
Now, do you see why you've been banned from my threads? You can't put simple thoughts together and do deductive reasoning.
Frazier beat Ali once, Foreman KO'd Frazier twice.
Foreman better then Ali?
This is an idiotic equation.
It's okay to let me know about it, absolutely. But don't say you know about my personal feelings.
To be honest with you, I just forgot about him. Recognized that immediately after the poll was finished but was thinking the Other option would be enough.
Perfectly understandable.
And I wasn't attacking "Your personal feelings" I was expressing discontent at the thread content and not you as a poster.
Carry on.

Klitscho's going for the IBF title because it's more prestigious and comes with less risk than the WBO title. Would you drive a Kia if an Acura was available for less money? It's just smart management to go for the IBF "FIRST".
Having said that, I'm sure Don King would do anything to prevent a Brewster / Klitschko rematch and risk losing another piece of the title. King will make sure Brewster only fights people under a King contract. For Don King, it's not smart bussiness to make a Brewster / Klitschko fight.
Don't ignorantly leave him out of the poll...and expect people not to let you know about it.
That's like someone making a poll consisting of the best 147 lbers...and including Floyd, Gatti, Baldomir and Judah...yet leaving Margarito out as an option.
It's fucking retarded.

I don't think Klitschko can handle pressure.
Click Other, if you feel he is the best these days. Don't make a big deal out of it.

So you included Peter (who he just beat), Valuev, Rahman, Ruiz, Byrd (who he annihalated).
That makes absolutely zero sense. The only explaination is...you don't like him as a fighter.

I created this poll and only got 10 possible options. If you feel I am an alias just because I did not add Wladimir Klitschko, so be it. There is the Other option, hope that fits your needs. Personally, I don't see him as being the best.

Personally, I don't see him as being the best, he lost to Brewster fair and square, chose Byrd instead of a rematch with Lamon. But everybody is entitled to her and his opinion, and I respect yours.
I don't see anybody beating Lamon Brewster right now, he is the best by far in my view, and he is still improving - hope Buddy McGirt gets the best out of him.
I'd have to go with Brewster. At first I wasn't really convinced; but I was impressed with the way he outlasted and came back to beat Wladimir...that took a helluva lot of heart, which is always a good trait. Then the Meehan fight, which was anything; but impressive. The only thing out of that bout that encouraged me...slightly...was his cheekbond being broken and him fighting through the pain. Once again, heart is always a good thing.
The turning point in my opinion came with the Golota fight. Not because the Foul Pole is a world beater as much as what it meant in relation to the division at that time. Golota had fought both IBF titlist Byrd and then WBA titlist, Ruiz. He had pushed Byrd and Ruiz both to their respective limits, drawing with Byrd, and dropping Ruiz twice on the way to a semi-controversial points loss. Brewster, on the other hand, takes this man the other two titlists had struggled with and blasted him out in more impressive fashion than Lewis had done and, in the process, crated history with the fastest World Heavweight Championship fight on record, beating Jeffries by 2 seconds. Now, granted the WBO is not really a respected organiaztion and Brewster was not the official world champion at that point; but, then again, no one was, really. With one fight against a common opponent, he showed up two of his four counterparts and was gaining on the third since Vitali had defended against Danny Williams whose sole claim to fame at the time was beating a shot Tyson.
Then Brewster did it again, coming from behind to stop Krasniqi.
He reminds me, in a way, of Marciano. He's a nice guy, who's kind of crude but has a good chin, big punch, and huge heart; and somehow, always seems to find a way to win just when you think he can't. You gotta love that. If shown more on TV, will win the public over, IMO.
Of course, if he loses to Liakhovich, which is possible, all this crap goes out the window.
Damn, I love this sport! :D

Its hard to say. If Wlad vs Brewster happens, then the winner of that should fight the winner of Rahman/Toney II then you can say with more assurance who's the best. But is Rahman vs Maskaev gonna happen for sure??? I hope not, not that Toney/Rahman will be exciting but who the hell is Maskaev????
Maskaev is the guy the Knock Rahman out through the ropes. I thought Toney/Rahman 1 was pretty good, the 2nd fight will also be good to see
