The winner of Klitschko/Byrd should be the reall champ

I don't think I ever expected to say this, but if what we saw against Peter is Wlad's new style, he may well be the man to beat at heavy. He's finally fighting tall, using that telephone pole of a jab well and throwing punches when they will be effective, rather than just trying to get in there and wing punches to please fans. He's Chris Byrd with pop. Not the most exciting fighter in the world to watch, but certainly effective. The only way to beat him will be to force him to engage when it's not to his benefit. It almost hurt having to say that.

Nice idea but I would not be surprised to see Wlad go after Valuev (if NV does not lose before then) in a big money fight somewhere in Europe. Hopefully Brewster can knock a few other guys out (Maskaev, Rachman?) and improve his fan base to force the big fights to happen. hmmmm the scenario wlad whoops byrd than valuev and brewster whoops lyakovic and rahman, means we could have one hell off a fight early next year, wlad-brewster unification

even if wlad whoops byrd(in which he will) he still has the loss to brewster on him. im 90%sure that brewster will beat lyakavich and that wlad will beat byrd, so i see wlad-brewster2 in the late summer ore autumn and the winner off that fight will be the recogniced champ. its that simple. and what rahman and toney will do i dont know.....probably rematch. with the rahman toney fight leading the division nowhere and brewster fighting a bum I think the winner of Klitschko Byrd should be recongnized as the reall champ, say whatever u want but It should be and will be true, the division is horrible rahman and toney are the past, Klitschko,Brewster,Brock,Peter and others are the future, the sooner bums like toney,ruiz and others leave the better it will be for the division.... Wlad cannot be the man in the division until he faces Brewster again. I will be pulling for Wlad also, but we have to be honest about this. I never thought Brewster was a serious top contender anyway despite his title, Valuev neither. Rahman, Toney, Byrd, are the top guys. And Wlad will be one of the top guys when he beats Byrd. Wlad will be the top guy, but may not stay on top long because of his obvious weakness. We shall see. if wlad was in the ring with either rahman or toney they would bouth get knocked out, wlad has too much offense for both guys, toney looked like a fat piece of shit and was off balance cuase of the weight, if he was in there with someone who can punch hard it would have been lights out for him....

Would you have EVER asked or talking about Byrd being the #1 guy at any point in the past? No, you wouldn't have, because it would have hurt your feelings. It just came to mind that Peter/Wald was sort of like Jeff Lacy/Joe Calzaghe Ok look seriously. Oquendo really has a terrible style to fight Wald. To begin with...he likes to pedal around on the bike. Wald is much bigger, stronger, has faster hands, is more experienced, hits harder, has a longer reach. John Ruiz and David Tua did have questionable stoppages over him yes. I think if Wlad beats Byrd, then he's ranked #1 and Brewster is ranked #2, and the Ring belt should remain vacant until their rematch. Wlad will have beaten better fighters in his last few fights than Brewster, but Brewster still has that 2004 win to hang over Wlad. This is assuming Brewster beats Lyakhovich, which he will. If somehow Brewster loses, then Wlad is #1 across the board and will probably be awarded the Ring belt, and will be the Man to beat at HW.
