I for one think Floyd is probably the most skilled fighter in the world today, but his failure to fight the best at his current and last division have me questioning his status in most lb for lb lists. No doubt Floyd was the best at 130 and 135 but he is now a welter weight. Is he as fast, as strong, or as durable at this weight as he was at his previous weights(130-35)? Is he the best fighter in the world at this weight? I think most lists that have him #1 are speculatory. He needs to proove himself.
Taylor lost to Hopkins TWICE and Wright lost to Vargas.
The winner of their fight probably isn't even the best fighter in their own neighborhoods.
To be fair to Winky, the fight could've gone either way and the judges scored reflected an obvious bias towards Vargas. That same fight might get scored for Winky today.
I also think that the winner of Winky/Taylor not Zab/Floyd will be no doubt number 1 pfp.
if taylor is ever no.1 p4p i will never regard that list as credible. taylor is SLOPPY!!!!!!!!!! winky is going to finish what hop started in the first fight, an all out schooling of an unskilled hbo/dibella chump/bitch.
So if he keeps on fighting B level opposition he should retire at the top.
As for Zab, I am not saying he is a chump but a victory againts Zab is now meaningless. Honestly though, how many of y'all would be surprised if Zab won? I am guessin most of us. I wonder why?
I wouldnt be suprised. Floyds movin up in weight, and if Zab comes in focused then he has a much better chance to win than most people are giving him.
I doubt anyone outside of the Phillipines is suggesting such a ridiculous notion. Hell 9 out of 10 locals from the Phillipine town Manny brougth electricity to for the first time would give Manny no chance against mayweather head to head OR p4p.
go get banned you racist fuck.
I can't believe people are really suggesting pac is P4P over Flyod I think that some off yall cats think with your harts and not your heads. I don't think pac could beat reheem. The only thing Floyd doesn't have is one punch knock out power otherwise no one can compare to his skill
yes, he fight and he wins. no one has beat him doesnt that say he is the best. he already has a good record with several former and current champs. he also stopped many up and coming start, cut them down to nothing
that has been said about a lot of people. and it would be great for the sport if this were true. however i have a very strong feeling that he will get caught and it will be within his next five fights if he starts fighting the guys he should. the welter division has the posibility of being like the welter and middle divisions of the eighties if all of these guys fight eachother like they did back in the day and none of them came out unscathed, so if they start fighting i dont see floyd making it out clean although his record will be the one with the fewest dents.
but floyd is still in his prime. i dont think he will get touched in his prime
i kind of want to know how many floyd fights youve seen. if floyd wanted to, he could beat anybody by ud, but he opens up and try's to ko guys. his defense speed and footwork could result in him NEVER getting caught

i am curious to see where he ends up after getting knocked out. once he starts fighting the guys that he should i am positive that one of them will catch up to him and put him down for 10. my early guess is hatton to lose about eight rounds and them get lucky and ko floyd. i think a better question than "does floyd deserve to be no. 1 p4p" is "where will we put floyd once he gets ko'ed?"
because right now he is without a doubt no. 1.

saying the PBF is not no1 is like saying all his oppenet are bums and that is not true.
fighters are measured by the other fighters they fight.
as for Zab, he got a chance against PBF, he is quit and know one knows what he is doing. probably in the press conference.
But maybe Zab could give PBF first ever upset, the silence is killing me from a trash talker like Zab.
floyd is number one p4p.
he does not have embarassing defeats in his past (pac, winky, barrera), and out of all the unbeaten fighters (hatton, calzaghe, cotto) he is the one with the best opposition
If this question was asked 1 or 2 years ago, I'd say NO ONE COMES CLOSE to even 1 light year.
But so far, Floyd's opposition has been mediocre at best.
And those are not embarrasing loses for Pac, Winky and MAB. It's a given for any fighter who needs time to improve and when on top, will stay there for long.
Ok, first off there is no such thing as vacant #1 by having it empty and putting Pacman at #2 your making him the defacto #1. Perhaps you put it that way to avert criticism in some way.
First off let me say that I enjoy watching PBF fight but I'm not a huge PBF fan my preferred fighter is Cotto whom I think would lose to PBF hands down if they fought this year.
Secondly how can you down grade PBF fight resume especially down grading his fight with Zab who lost his last fight with Balomir. However Pacman did the same thing fighting an Eric Morales that came off a loss to Barrera before their first fight and Eric was coming off a loss to Raheem before their 2nd fight. I'm not trying to down grade Pacman but you gotta use the same ruler for both fighters.
good point actully
pacs biggest fights are a draw to jmm, a loss to morales, a wins vs morales, even though he just lost to raheem, similar to the baldomir zab fight (morales wobbled bigime, was a bigtime fav and lost a ud, same as zab) and a nice ko win vs barrera. floyds trying to make big fights guys, hes offerered tony, dlh, and hatton.
diego corrales, jose luis castillo (twice), famoso hernandez, jesus chavez, demarcus corley, sharmba mitchell, and arturo gatti. all former champions and corrales, chavez, mitchell, and gatti have been stopped by floyd mayweather jr.
with titles in 3 (soon to be 4) divisions and a resume like the one above, of course floyd should be #1.
i think #1 should be vacant
1)
2)Pacman
3)PBF
4)Winky
if PBF beats an Elite this year he can take 1 and also Winky, if he beats Taylor.
If not Pacman will take it assuming he KO Morales again. :D
why pacman at #3? he is the only facing Elite and scoring a TKO of the 3 fighters above on their last bout.
PBF destroys Michelle a semi dead horse.
Winky can't KO a conterder on his last fight.
of the 3 Pacman has the most impressive win.

this is not a bias opinion but a fact
