It is what the 168 pound division had to offer-I know I know besides the much avoided Sven Ottke. Ottke would have flat out embarrassed Joe like he did Byron Mitchel and Charles Brewer)
Uncle...I give...Bernard's resume pre-tito was stellar-it makes Calzaghe's look pathetic.
We've been through this before: Through out his tenure at SuperMiddleweight, he missed fights with Sven Ottke, Eric Lucas, Markus Beyer, Anthony Mundine, Antwun Echols, Mikkel Kessler, & Danny Green.
All I ever hear is a list of excuses about each fight, and how they were poor opponents that wouldn't have proved anything.
The bottom line is that most of them were better than the opposition he did face, and leaving so many contenders while fighting guys a step below them shows that he didn't come close to cleaning out the division.
You are again compairing sections of their careers in order to try and maintain this ill faded point.
When you subtract part of Bernard's career, and give me a bunch of "ifs" about what Joe may do from here on in, it seems to make you feel better about what you're trying to say.
He was definatly looking shakey in the Mitchell fight.
And aside from that, he hasn't looked in trouble because he's been fighting 2nd tier Suppermiddleweights his whole career. He resume prior to Lacy's is outright weak.

Watch Mitchell after the stoppage-he didnt seem to upset, listen to Byron i the post fight interview..again doesnt sound like a fighter who wa all that upset...it wasnt Joe's fault the fight was vut short-the fans got cheatedd that night but are you trying to tell me you think Mitchell had him?
What fight has Joe barely won? the one time he wasnt not given the nod by a judge in aq fight was against Robin Reid and according to Dougie Fischer Calzaghe easily controlled the fight. (I never saw it)
Other then that Joe has never been in danger of losing-it has been as clear as a beautiful Segundo Mercado night!

If that happens I'll give you my phone number so you can call me to gloat.
Your post is all speculation about things that haven't happened yet, that doesn't carry any weight in a debate.
And your notion about "doesn't leave any doubt in anyone's mind" was brilliant in the Lacy fight, but when that claim is made with regard to the rest of the guys he fought, it means very little. Add to that I think Mitchell wouldn't like the sound of that comment. ;)

Calzaghe will be a clear hall of famer before his career is said and done-anyone who refutes this is simply put reverse nuthugger.
The best thing about Joe is when he gets in the ring weather he goes for it-he doesnt leave any doubt in anyones mind.
I have little doubt in my mind he will beat Tarve3r if they hook up-this is the sure fire way to the hall-right thru Toney Tarver.

OK, I'm glad you didn't refute anything I said about how his titles were stripped (you showed a TINY bit of wisdom in that, and of course I educated you as shown in your prior post- you were totally clueless), but saying that the onus is on the unified champion and not the newly emerged contender at 175 speaks for itself. Idiocy. As Frank Cappuccino says "I leave it with you."
What you sum up as "dirty pool" really needed no refuting. The bottom line was that Darius was content to sit in Germany and face stiffs, struggling with many of them, before he was ultimatly defeated by leftovers that Roy toyed with.
His attendance at Ringside for the Jones Hill fight suggested he was considering making the fight with Roy, and the fact he never returned to the US speaks for iteslf.
You have done no educating, becuase you're a nut hugging long winded stooge who can't accpet being wrong. It's why you changed the subject in the 1st place.
After all your huffing, you don't disagree with what I said about Calzaghe, and your long winded attempts at trying to word Darius being the better fighter than Roy are outright stupid.
He was a sheltered waste who struggled with sub par opposition. Roy didn't need him to confirm his status, it was the other way around. But when you saw Richard Hall banging up Darius, it couldn't be anymore clear as to what his motivations were.

JC hadn't defeated an undefeated champion until last week. Jones took on Hopkins & 160 when both were the #1 & #2 contenders to the vacant belt & won easily. Jones went on to fight Toney at 168 lbs. who was one of the top 5 P4P fighters in the WORLD & the top dog in the division & embarassed him; weight problems or not. Jones also defeated fighters that after losing to him went on & became world champions again. How many have JC's opponents have become champions AFTER fighting him. None because their careers can't be compared & the thought of it is completely asinine.
You are so completely clueless.
See, I earmarked you for a bandwagoner shit-talker and you just proved me dead-on. Dariusz was "stripped for avoiding better fighters" huh?
Set back, newbie, and listen to the news while I give you a little education.
Dariusz was stripped IMMEDIATELY by the WBA, simply for having the WBO title. That's a fact. And some contender had won a lawsuit with the IBF which required that he be given a shot at the title WITHIN 30 DAYS, and Dariusz had just gone a hard 12 rounds beating the champion Hill. It was unreasonable to think that he would be able to step back in the ring in less than a month. See, the IBF didn't want Dariusz to have their belt, either. It's as simple as that. Neither sanctioning body wanted their belt over in Germany, when they Olympic mega-star Roy Jones was planning on moving up in weight. So they played some dirty pool, nothing new.
At this point, Roy is still a SMW threatening to move up. So you see when Roy entered 175 there was no doubt who the best LHW was- it was Dariusz, who had unified 3 belts. And he never lost through Roy's whole LHW campaign until like 03, about the time that Roy fell off.
That's why there was the debate for years (when you probably weren't even watching boxing, that's why I have to educate you now) and that's why Roy was never truly an undisputed, linear champ at 175.
Ok, school's out. Run along and play, Bozo.
lol, listening to a nut hugging stooge who does nothing but cry and twisting subjects doesn't educate anyone or anything. I've been watching boxing since I was a kid which is obviosuly longer than you've been hugging nuts.
"Dirty Pool" took the titles from Darius, he just happened to stay in Germany fighting soft competition, and somehow he's the real champion that everyone was avoiding?
Come off it. He stayed in Germany and was content to face nobodies because he wanted no part of Jones. Visiting the US for the Hill fight showed some interest in travelling, and the fact he never came back spoke for itslef.
If you're going to sit here and tell me that Darius was the better Lt Heavyweight, and that he didn't need to go the US to make the fight with Roy, I'm going to call you an even bigger idiot that I thought previously.
He wanted no part of Jones, and sat in his backyard making weak hand picked defenses. He struggled with guys Jones toyed with, and was ultimatly beaten soundly by one of them.
Jones didn't need Darius, Darius needed Jones, and he had no interest. His career wasted into obsceurity until he was beaten by a meidocre fighter, and he will largely be forgotten.
You're off on another rant, because you're angry your take on Calzahge was taken apart. You're a sad and bitter individual.
What you guys have to realize is these boards are over populated with white guys who shamelessly blow every accomplishment of the white guys out of proportion then attack every cocky black guy from Ali to Jones'Jr. Of course this guy will never make the hall of fame much like his white brothers the Klitchkos but we have to endure all of the white guy rants until for now.
Hmm, so the colour of somebody's skin makes them better than someone else? Whatever dickhead.
Jones was the best fighter at Light Heavyweight for 5 years. Darius was stripped for avoiding better fighters, and struggled with Roy's left overs.
Suggesting otherwise is more 'bollocks' that comparing Calzaghe's career to Roy's.

Nope, it's just your deluded posts regarding a certain RJJ being 'The Man' at 175 got peoples attention. In other words, you're talking bollocks mate. :)

As I said before, to be the man you have to beat the man. RJJ didn't, never had any intention of fighting him, so your claims that DM was scared to come to the states hold no water. More likely is Roy was scared to go to Germany, even though DM was Polish.
You can think that all you want. Darius was stripped of those titles for a reason, and he got on that plane and never retunred because he knew exactly what would have happened to him.
No one in their right mind would suggest Darius was the better fighter, or had an evern remotely similar career.
He sat in Germany avoiding bigger fights, struggled with the likes of Richard Hall, and lost to Julio Gonzalez two years after Roy toyed with him to the tune of 120-105.
But again, does this have anything to do with Calzaghe?
No, it doesn't.
You guys are topid whores.
I'm just wondering, all this desperation to change the subject, has it made any more of a case for Calzaghe being a Hall of Fame fighter at this point?

Please.
Darius saw what happened to hill, got back on a plane and never came back. He was then stripped of the major titles he had for not wanting to face the mandated challengers.
No one in their right mind regarded him as the better fighter between the two, and his "Ottke" like habbit of sitting in Germany facing Roy's leftovers showed what he was all about.
He struggled with Richard Hall, and was soundly beaten by Gonzalez.
