First off, if the fight happens, say in 6months after Toney beats
Rahman, Lewis comes in as prepared as he can be, toney too (lol)
then who do you think will take it. Lewis is big, strong & gifted
for a heavyweight but toney is a great smaller defensive fighter
& so far has proved he can take a good heavyweights power shots.

Taken from this BBC Boxing Thread
James Toney is confident he can tempt former heavyweight king Lennox Lewis out of retirement if he claims a portion of the world title next month
"My goal right now is to fight Lennox Lewis," Toney told BBC Sport.
"I respect Lewis, he's a good fighter, but he's not a great fighter like me. Lennox will return - he can't resist."

ive not read anything from the Lewis camp yet but im sure
somebody press reporter will find out something about Lewis
current training regime, whether hes seen with promoters etc
Any heavyweight who has any balls left in the division can knock Toney out. Rahman can do it, but I don't think he will, he will probably try to box him and get embarrased.
Lewis beats Toney easily even with the ring rust and age. He's far too big, talented, and experienced. This fight is getting hype just so Toney can get a big payday. What would beating an old, retired Lewis prove anyway?
Toney doesn't have the power to KO Lennox. If Lennox came out all guns blazing like he did against Golota, it would be all over.
a big size difference is really gonna tell.
no way lewis is coming back though so it doesnt really matter
Tua has a proven heavyweight chin, there is no comparison, Tua has took murderuous punches off Lewis, Ibeabuchi, Rahman etc.
so you really think that toney gets ko'ed in 1?
even Lennox Lewis. but Lewis would probably end up winning on points. Remember that Lewis didn't KO Tua either.
oh yeah, i definately think that lewis would be too much for toney i just dont think it would end with a ko.
agreed, toney has been kd'ed twice in his long career and one of them was when jones jumped on his back and pushed him down, so the chances of him getting koed on 1 by anyone ever are slim to none.

Jones does not hit like a truck, like Lewis does.
i wasnt comparing jones and lewis' punching power i was saying that toney has had a very long career in many divisions and only has one legit knock down and that is is highly unlikely that any fighter of any era would be able to knock him out in the first round.
saying Toney would be knocked out in one round makes no sense on any level. your license as a boxing fan should be revoked.

Lewis would destroy Toney. Lewis would jab, jab, jab, jab, jab, jab, hook, uppercut.
GG toney.
Lewis KO1

Lewis won't come back simply for the fact that it would make him look like he ducked Klitschko, and then choose this easier fight. it would make him look bad. Lewis is retired for good i think.
voted for who i wanted to win rather than who would. lewis is a real heavyweight champion. he isnt losing to a natural middleweight.
toney had to work very hard to make 160. toney is a natural fat guy and a naturaly great fighter.
