I happen to NEVER call any fighter a BUM and I think it is a bad choice of words... say u don't like him, he is not as good as he was, he is not that good at all... but to call him a BUM is just wrong. As far as the "you never played the game routine getting tired"... it always seems that people that never played it are the ones that have a problem with people saying that. I pay my 59.95 just like everyone else. Being a fighter, on it's own, doesn't grant you immediate respect, you also must be a good person and do the right things outside the ring. By the way, I'm not referring to Pemberton or this thread's topic..just in general terms. as far as my personal experience..if the question is am I a former pro or ametuer fighter? the answer would be no. Have I trained and tried? Yes I have. Unfortunately for me, I was horrible and took a beating in there. So I stopped many years ago, got a job and am now raising my three kids. So obviously my experience fails terribly in comparison to someone like you. I just think an open mind from someone as respected as you would be more becoming than getting into verbal battles with the uninformed. ps- I can call Mike Tyson a "bum" can't I? :D

Pemberton wasn't a World Champion, and he certaintly wasn't a bum. He was a good fighter who would get in there with the best of em, and give us wars for espn money, at best.
