I dont get the rationale why in the last contract states that if ever Erik loses, Pac has to undergo an interim bout (and win) before he could face Erik again. I mean Pac KTFO Erik but EM gets to wait for Pac to pull another fight to win just to face him again and he gets to have a longer rest. Whadda fuck is that? sumbody care to fuckin explain???
I wouldn't want see another Pac vs Morrales fight. True, Morrales won the first battle, but the way Pac beat Morrales in the second match, I don't want see that happen again. Morrales has fought pro's since he was 16. He has been in WARS. At this time, or six month's time, he could still get a big money fight. But against Pac , hey, the man has got his number. I'd rather see Pac vs. Barrera 2 (pretty much a steamroll), or a Pac vs. JMM. I see a lot of Barrea fan's that think the rematch will go differently. Could happen. But what the hell, don't you think the fight would have, shoulda, coulda, woulda happened? I think every fighter I have mentioned are incredible fighters. Pac at 130, if he trains at this weight, and keeps his HUNGER to dominate, he will pretty much be unbeatable.
Ya and HUNGER is the key word. I don't think Manny has lots of it as more so he enjoys to fight for the people and give them a great show. I mean, he comes into the Barrera fight possessed. Nobody could have beaten him that night. Clearly shown insane hunger to become a star. Then he goes onto Marquez with what looked badly prepared and looking to end it soon which means he didn't have the hunger to get through him like he did Barrera. So he gets a draw. Then he fights Fahsan, my god, he looked terrible stamina wise. I can see it was a simple tuneup, though cmon! Your fighting in your home country, with thousands of your peeps watching, and your nearly out of gas in the 4th round. That's an example of fighting for the people. Then he goes onto the Morales fight which as odd as it seemed, for the people again and not trying to break down Morales as he did Barrera. He loses. Then he goes onto Hector and put up a decent showing of his newly found right hook, decent stamina(he was outta breath nearly at the end of the 6th), and wins through a hit and get hit fight. Finally, after losing the first Morales fight, having to get through a tuneup in Hector, Manny has regained his hunger. He goes on to perform a near identical display of breaking down a man with powershots as he did to Barrera. Though that took awhile before he got that type of hunger back to seem possessed. Will he do it vs Barrera? Or try to prove to Barrera that he is so much better he can end it early, and not have a late game plan? Hmm?
If Pac's tune-up opponent will be Javier Jaureigi, then that tune-up could very well become a WBC SuperFeather Championship.
If Marco wins vs. Jesus and decides to stay at Light, and WBC declares the SuperFeather division vacant, Pac, who had been #2 before beating Erik (who was #1), and Javier, who trailed Pac at #3, and who should be elevated to #2, could be meeting for the vacated diadem as the two top contenders.
The third meeting between Erik and Manny shall, therefore, possibly see Manny defending the WBC belt.
And there's Marco's IBF belt....

Where did you read that Pac has to do this?
I personally think staying busy is to a fighter's advantage, so I don't think this is exactly unfair. Keeping busy usually keeps you sharp and on top of your game, so this should only be good for Pacquiao by the time the 3rd fight rolls around, especially since I doubt he'll be in a war or anything like that.
wouldnt larios be the iterim fight before pac/morales 3? if the fight comes off that is
it appears to be that way at least for the time being. pac is very interested to co-promote the fight with hbo in manila some time in may. if larios pulls out, jauregui is next in line, so i gathered. :boxing:
A clause in a contract is a understanding between both sides. A clause can be exercised or aborted if they both concur and its in their best interests.
In this case Erik is taking a long rest and Pac. wants to stay busy, hence the interim fight.
If a third fight is agreed upon, there's already a clause in their previous contract and the contract originator, the promoter, has rights on this fight.
No, Pac chose to have an interim bout. He knows Erik needs a long rest for the beating he took. They could've fought the next day if they wanted.
I dunno but that clause was stated in the 2nd fight contract which is BEFORE the fight was held.
