Eubank was a flashy, brash boxer. He was a showboat. His skills were by far the best of the three (Eubank, Benn, Watson), especially his footwork. Eubank boxed circles around Benn in their first fight.
Despite having the best skills (and biggest mouth), Eubank was a chickenshit as a matchmaker. He didn't fight any top American fighters. He played it safe. Maybe he knew his ego couldn't handle a loss.
One particular episode sticks in my mind. Before the Julian Jackson - Herol Graham fight for the vacant WBC middleweight title, Eubank talked about fighting Graham to unify the WBC and WBO belts. However, when Jackson iced Graham, Eubank walked out of the arena in disgust. It was clear he didn't want to fight Jackson.
Eubanks was a middleweight from the Uk, he was one of a kind really.
He was a poser, a poser like none other before or after and thats what he was known for much more than his boxing which is a shame because he could actually box really well when he wanted.
He kind of had a reputation for controversy, nobody seemed to like him even though he made people laugh.
Most of hiis fights were close when they shouldnt of been close, he was a lazy boxer.
He was arrogant and was boo'd alot even in his back yard, but he seemed to thrive on it ( he loved being boo'd ).

who was chris eubank, can someoen make a thread explaining his whole career, both amatuer and pro, and also list facts that some peeps dont know, i need to be edumacated
Eubanks was always too reluctant to fight the top Americans, even as a amateur. He competed in a couple of New York tournaments, but turned down the chance to compete nationally. He won 1/4 of the world title, but refused to unify the belts.
I remember Eubanks clearly, his work rate could be so low that he scraped boring points victories against guys like Ron Essett and Tony Thornton who werent near the class of say Michael Nunn or James Toney.
Oh shit.
It eluded me the enire time.......
