Look, I think women's participation in boxing is great, and in time women's boxing may become an established sport. But right now it is clearly NOT...the "stars" of the sport, it we could call them that, are lousy, second-rate fighters who often only get to where they are because there is nobody to challenge them.
Yet because of PC concerns we have to put up with women's fights showing up on our airwaves every once in a while, like on this Friday's FNF. It's as if on a Sunday afternoon during the NFL season Fox decided to put on a rerun of a Nebraska high-school 8-man football game from the 1950s. It's a waste of everyone's time.
Yeah, I know, we're supposed to think it's sooo great that women boxers are getting this chance to land national TV exposure. Well, fuck that, they should show up on TV when they're wroth putting on TV, not when some high-minded TV producer decides to play feminist.
you remember the whole laila ali V Frazier waaaay overhyped Garbage they had a few years back?
Marvin gets thrashed by tyson and then joe's daughter gets beaten up by ali, poor Joe.
Women boxing sucks but that one time on ESPN, 5 fights 4 were first round KO's gotta be a record or something.
One of the girl fights was a first round, laila i think, exciting fight.
She is still lame though.
That was a pathetic show, with that classless what's-her-name trashing Laila the whole time. Not that I like Laila either. At any rate the whole travesty made women's boxing look even worse, if that's possible.
