Assuming this fight actually takes place, is it going to be PPV or a subscription based fight? (as in, if you have Showtime you can watch this fight)
EDIT: Also, if it IS free, HBO is gonna get their asses reamed in terms of ratings. This is their fight on the same night: Miguel Cotto vs Gianluca Branco. Yeah, who's gonna watch that over Lacy-Calzaghe?
i will watch lacy vs. calzaghe, then watch my recorded cotto fight.
it is dumb when they compete because boxing is not that popular. they need to get the maximum fans that they can and just not compete.
yeah I got DVR so its all cool. Showtime starts an hour earlier I think so I'll watch Lacy first and then Cotto second. More people will watch Cotto though because many more people have HBO than Showtime. Just a fact. Messageboard boxing fans will watch Lacy though
Yeah I'd be stuck with just the HBO if it werent for a stream online.Im a big cotto fan,but that fight isnt anything spectacular,so Im def looking forward to the lacy fight more.Actually I'll probably be watching the stream on my PC with the TV on so i dont miss the cotto fight ;)

yes, the fight is going to be televised on basic Showtime, Showtime Championship Boxing, on March 4th at 9PM ET/8PM CT.
It'll actually be really late in England at the time, this is to get the fight live at a reasonable time for US fight fans i believe.
also, yes putting the Cotto fight on the same night was pretty stupid on HBO's part, no big surprise from me though as HBO never seems to disapoint when it comes to dumb decisions that put them first and fans second. hopefully i'll have a DVR by then.. :p
