Rahman to announce the weigh-in today!

RAHMAN TO ANNOUNCE MORALES-PACQUIAO WEIGH-IN! For the first time in boxing history, the reigning world heavyweight champion will officiate a championship weigh-in! WBC heavyweight champion HASIM RAHMAN will be the man on the microphone when superstars ERIK ‘EL TERRIBLE’ MORALES and MANNY PACQUIAO have their Official Weigh-In before they meet in ‘The Battle!’ – the sequel to their epic 2005 championship fight. The weigh-in takes place Friday, January 20, at Wynn Las Vegas (Margaux Ballroom #1.) Fighters will report at 3 P.M. with Morales and Pacquiao stepping on the scale at exactly 3:30 P.M. Morales, 48-3 (34 KOs), from Mexico, and Pacquiao, 40-3-2 (31 KOs), from The Philippines, collide in a battle of three-time world champions, Saturday, January 21, at the Thomas & Mack Center, Las Vegas, NV, in a 12-round WBC International super featherweight title rumble. Promoted by Top Rank, in association with Wynn Las Vegas, ‘The Battle!’ will be broadcast live on HBO Pay-Per-View.

Who cares about Pacquiao and Morales, I hope Toney and Rahman throw down! Don't forget Toney smacked Booker at their press conference and we all know what Rahman did to Lewis on ESPN. This press conference suddenly got a whole lot more interesting.

I heard Toney might show up to accompany his homie Pacquiao. We might see a heavyweight fight earlier than expected. that could really make the weigh-in interesting as im sure Toney will at least be at the fight tommorow night.

Its an unusual practice but why the hell not i say. Adds a bit of intrigue and Rahman has always plenty to say! I'm 100% sure he's simply there to further promote Toney/Rahman coming up soon (which is a very good idea in a business sense).
