ok so castillo is going to take a fight. there is really no winning for him. if he takes the fight theres a chance that he might lose or get injured and then have to go streight back to camp to get ready for corrales in april. but if he doesnt take it he will be stripped or already got stripped not to sure. and im sure castillo is not going to be working out from here till april.
if he does take the fight and then losses agaits castillo he can say that he was still recovering from his last fight. if he wins corrales will say that he had more activity. now i know none of these guys will give exuses but im just saying what if? now since the date is already set the best thing coming to castillo is that he can say i faught worthy opponents back to back.
any body arguee if its a bad or good idea because i have no clue witch way to go
nothing wrong with keeping busy. its a damn shame that corrales/castillo 3 wont happen (not yet anyway), but it doesnt mean that castillo should stop fighting.
hopefully the fight will not be a tough one for Castillo. I think the inactivity of Corrales may do more harm than good though.
I don't think the inactivity will hurt Corrales. Remember he had been inactive before the first fight and I think a little more rest would do his body some good. Castillo on the other hand went through three training camps going into the first fight so I don't think taking this fight will affect him. He went through the Casamayor camp, then the Diaz camp and then the Corrales camp almost all back to back.
i guess i have a differnent opinion.. i agree with mic573.. castillo is a warrior.. he wants to put all the hard training to use.. he isn't like judah.. he wont overlook an oponent.. i think hell heal up fine.. he one of the toughest fighters today..
I don't think Castillo wants to waste all the training and preparation he has been doing for this fight.
i sure as hell wouldnt, fighters fight, thats how they get paid
Bad idea, but it's a lose lose situation. If he doesn't take it people will say he is ducking a fight. If he wins who cares. C'mon now with the weight thing. What was it like a four pound weight difference. I hope Castillo comes in four pounds under and just lays it on Corrales with out this other fight interfering.
castillo doesnt have any titles to get striped.. remember his last fight agaisnt corrales wasnt for the belts cause his fat ass couldnt make the weight!

Taking this fight is not a good idea, IMO.
He has nothing to gain and the best thing should have been for him to wait till the new date to fight Chico or challenge another champion.
Castillo does not have a belt to get stripped from him.
