I think the kid will do well, after all like people have already said, you can't compete in the olympics and go back to the amatuers, just doesn't seem right.
He was supposed to continue in the amateurs until the 2008 olympics when suddenly he did good in the 2004 olympics, instead he turned pro.

Couldnt agree more - the jury is still out to an extent but I do think he'll go all the way.
And I really dont wanna start an argument (there's far too many on here as it is!) but Kindelan knew it was his last fight and would have wanted to go out a winner. But you are definitely right when you say it would have been better if Khan had beat him at the Olympics.
(taking Kindelan as his last amateur fight shows you this)
I don't like to use that as an example. Kindelan was old and going to retire at the end. Kinelan beat Khan when it mattered at the Olympics. In the rematch Kindelan had nothing to fight for.
But as far as Khan goes, he has talent and potential. I'm looking forward to seeing how he deals fighting longer bouts against guys in his own weight, who have actually won some fights. We'll see how he does then.
Definately should of stayed amateur, hes clearly not comfortable in the media at such a young age and all the attention hes had could easily throw him. I think it may turn out to be a mistake.
I've actually interview Amir Khan and I can assure you he's very at ease with the media. I think he'll go all the way, his hand speed, movement and heart (taking Kindelan as his last amateur fight shows you this) will do it for him. And his power aint bad either.
he already done olympics, u cannot stay amatuer after going to the olympics, u have to move on to bigger things, that is if u wish to.
His managers, trainers, and parents should take care of him and guide him accordingly, because he is too young to handle the pressure of the media and the pressure of fame..
