Rumors of him injuring his forearm, the ridiculous music videos...
I just want to make it clear to anyone who would bring it up later that I am not favoring Pacquiao to win this fight anymore. Too much shit going on. Morales wins another close decision.
Ya know, I been picking Morales to win by decision for quite some time though I've lately been leaning towards Manny getting the decision. Here's some reasons. First off, I'm sure as long as Manny puts up a nice fight with Erik, the judges will lean to give Manny the rounds so that Manny can win at the end and setup a big money final trilogy match. The other reason, I've been going to Pacland ever since before Manny was getting ready for Marquez. Now I don't usually go and talk on their forum cause that's just insanity, though I do see when they have new pictures and videos posted as I enjoyed those. Now letme tell you. This is just dead, no lying proof that they were serious about the distractions. I swear, before Manny was preparing for Morales, every single day a new set of pictures or video hit that Pacland website. Now, I haven't seen any photos of Manny since he's made his trip to train in the US(afew public photos in the Ph. that were allowed), and finally only photos since his press workout this pass week. It has been total seclusion from people entering and that alone will have a huge difference.
The 1st fight was a close but Morales edged him out. Anyone that thinks that fight was a blow out or comparing it to MAB vs. Hamed needs to check their eyes. MAB DOMINATED & HUMILIATED Hamed. There wasn't really a need for a rematch in that fight because MAB was the superior fighter. Morales & Pac's fight was very competitive or else we wouldn't have been anticipating a rematch between the two. Right now I'm leaning towards Pac in this fight because of the approach Freddie Roach has going into this fight. Roach is one of the best trainers today & made some statements about going to the body more & in order to defeat Morales you need to. That's how MAB was able to beat him. I watched Pacs last fight & he was using the right hand more effective than he ever has, & went to the body alot more than I've ever seen him. This fight is going to be a close one.
And when PAC has made Morales sleep on the canvass, let's see what sort of excuses Morales' fans would conjure up.
I'm not too worried about that, cause Pac is not going to ko erik. He's already found out the hard way he'll have to improve on his technique and actually BOX Morales in order to win.
This fight will be a repeat of the first.
Although Morales might stop him late this time. The gloves debacle is a non issue.
thats my opinion exactly. A possible late ko/tko by morales. And the gloves dont 'fly' with me either...and I totally expect the injury to be a convenient excuse if pac does lose. I havent seen the video, and considering all the talk about the distractions pac had during training for the first fight, I dont understand why he'd let that become an issue, once again. When preparing to fight Erik Morales, who pac already knows he cant just go in there and knock him out, he should be focusing on nothing else..period.

Pac is on that list as well, as one of those who have tested Morales’s chin. For fuk's sake EM is not getting KO’ed, if you strongly disagree with that, then bet me loser leaves forum. I have been here for since June 2004, so that’s how strong I believe EM's chin is.
I can't see it.
Morales isn't getting KO'd by anyone near his weight class. His jaw's granite.
That granite chin is a myth. But I do agree Morales is tough and a smart fighter. He has good defense and that's why he prefers using Winning gloves as his shield and is not really meant to protect his hands.
We'll see if he'll be really using Cleto Reyes gloves this time coz I doubt it. No problem proven wrong.
If Morales fought the 12th round the way he did the 11th it would of been 116-112. The first fight was very competitive but there is no way anyone could of had the fight for Pacquiao. That's how much of a clear win it was.
Well.. I would follow the scorecards. If it was not a close fight indeed, we will see what happens on jan21
i take it you have not seen the fight. i say again, it wasnt as close as the scores might have you think.
115-113? Not close? Do you know math? You must be blind pal. :D
Styles make fights but there are always exceptions.
Rarely do you see the humble PAC give out such a very bold statement.
"Im gonna go at Morales and beat him up any way I can, I will do that or I will die trying".
it wasnt razor close like some people might think. it wasnt as close as the scores imply. i have seen the fight many many times. erik beat pac in the same sense that MAB beat hamed.
it wasnt as close as the scores would have you think.
What do you mean it's clear, it's not close? :) All the 3 judges scored it 115-113, it couldn't be closer than that otherwise that could have been a draw at 114-114. :D
agreed, and the cut played a big factor.
at first, i picked Morales for a Unanimous Decision, but now, i really feel Pacquiao has the heart and the drive to pull a win out here, i'd take nothing away from Morales of course. Should be a close fight either way. I think Pacquiao is dead-set on avenging the loss.
