Everyone knows that Hopkins showed superior boxing skills and movement in the ring against Tito. Oscar first exposed Tito's one dimensional style by moving around in the ring and feinting, and Hopkins later used that technique and KO'd Tito. However, would Hopkins still have fought the same way if it wasn't for De La Hoya? Hopkins even said "I'm no De La Hoya, but Tito fell for every feint against him, so I'll do that too." Or is Hopkins that good and still would have beaten him no matter what?
It sure looked difficult for Trinidad early on. Reid was combining his good boxing with some fighting. At least it worked for a while.
but do ya remember the snot-rocket???? that was the highlight of the fight....j/k
No one ever mentions the success that David Reid had against Trinidad through the first six rounds. Without Trinidad-DLH, you still had the first six rounds of Trinidad-Reid.
i totally forgot about that fight...the only thing i remember about that fight was when reid blew out this HUGE fucking snot-rocket dat was boogers/blood....it was pretty fucking gross
